It is contemporaneous with the industrial development just prior to and after World War II. Clauses 624-656 of the Law of Obligations and Contracts are the only ones that deal with workers and labor, since economic activity used to be restricted to agriculture. But due to economic prosperity, economic openness, commercial exchange, and the mainstream economic ideas that advocate economic justice and industrial advancement, the need to adopt new laws to organize the conditions of workers and labor emerged.","PeriodicalId":215420,"journal":{"name":"Al-Raida Journal","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123467181","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

According to the latest report on socio-economic conditions in Lebanon, the \"official handling of social dimensions has been limited to generalities and remains governed by the assumption that social problems depend on finding solutions for economic growth.
