ADRs due to carelessness or human mistakes is very common in elder people or in people who are administered with multiple prescriptions for the day, but they face difficulty in tracking their medications over time. This paper deals with the development of a Smart Medicine Dispenser to manage the very real problem of patients confusing the dosage and timing of their medications, particularly vulnerable patients or patients on numerous medications. We have devised a device named SMART MEDICINE DISPENSER (SMD) which will contain all the prescribed doses for a fortnight or a month and will dispense them at accurate timings. This device will monitor the patient's medication habits and will also reduce the risk of overdose or taking the wrong medication. We have used the basic yet brilliant concept of electromagnetism in our design with compare to exiting product, and the components used are also easily available making SMD very inexpensive as compared to the current solutions in the market.","PeriodicalId":214619,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Advances in Computing and Communication Engineering (ICACCE)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126500755","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The article deals with problems of polarized light, its mathematical description using the Stokes and Jones vectors, the depiction of polarization state on the Poincaré sphere, and the polarization multiplex. In the practical part, the experimental facility for laboratory measurements verifying the theoretical assumptions is described first and subsequently it is proved that the polarization multiplex is feasible on common single-mode fibers. The site was assembled for a wavelength of 1550 nm for different fiber lengths, including a 2000 m path. The measured results are finally evaluated.","PeriodicalId":214619,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Advances in Computing and Communication Engineering (ICACCE)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131798679","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We investigated 3D and VR software in architectural planning and engineering. We also asked the opinion of experts in order to explore the missing parts of this area. We developed a program based on the demand of architects and their customers which aims to give a true sense of being in the building to be built. So users can feel the space, the size and the atmosphere of the building in a more realistic way before anything has been built. We focused on realistic visual experience in order to give a real insight into the emotional effects of the whole building and to provide the opportunity to perceive the different interior design variations. We compared our application to other available solutions in aspect of functionality, visual experience, interactions and computational requirements.","PeriodicalId":214619,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Advances in Computing and Communication Engineering (ICACCE)","volume":"123 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124596043","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many of these processes can be automated using a choice of software programs on the market, including Microsoft Orchestrator. This software system provides a friendly graphical interface for automating, standardizing, and improving operational processes. However, a lack of conceptual representation of processes makes it more difficult for end users to understand an existing process or simulate a new one. This paper presents a way to model such processes conceptually using a proposed diagrammatic language that is based on “machines of flow things.” A case study is carried out using a real-life example from Microsoft Orchestrator to model an automated process of assigning on-demand and monitored admin rights to users on a PC. The finished model can be used for documentation, management, and control.","PeriodicalId":214619,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Advances in Computing and Communication Engineering (ICACCE)","volume":"17 45","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120930848","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The factors contributing high leakage power are small chip area, die's temperature etc. Very limited works have been published in literature to estimate the leakage power of FPGAs. So, this paper represents a regression based power estimation model for Spartan 3E FPGAs for early power estimation. Several designs are coded in Verilog and Xilinx Xpower Analyser is used to compute various parameters like junction and ambient temperature, total power, and effective resistance. Using curve fitting and regression analysis on these parameters some parameterized equations are created and converted into a MATLAB script. The analysis reveals that there is a percentage error of 2.36%, 2.74% and 2.84% between Matlab script and the Xilinx Power estimator at different frequencies.","PeriodicalId":214619,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Advances in Computing and Communication Engineering (ICACCE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129959261","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It holds major significance especially when dealing with mental health issues. Inputs taken from a patient undergoing treatment, when collected and analyzed over a time period can help the doctor in making appropriate deductions and inferences. The aim of this paper is to demonstrate the potential of using third party APIs' in creating a remote health assessment system pertaining to mental illness. In this paper, a proof-of-concept cloud based psychological assessment/ monitoring service named PsyHeal is proposed. It is a web app which interfaces with a handful of third party API's for its implementation. We first discuss the primary system design and limitations of the same. We then elaborate on some enhancements which have been added to the primary system in order to overcome the identified flaws and thus explain the final design of this web app. Future scope of the application is discussed in order to build upon the aforementioned application.","PeriodicalId":214619,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Advances in Computing and Communication Engineering (ICACCE)","volume":"111 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132542989","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The use of peer to peer communication between the IoT devices will make transactions more secure and user friendly while being fully precise. With these things in place we can see automation in household work or reduction in piracy via internet, the proper integrated use of IoT with our household devices or phones and digital devices will make our lives better and more convenient while being able to sustain more resources for the future. In current scenario, the biggest challenge is that how will Online Transactions get better and automated if we implement IoT using blockchain technology to improve the efficiency, transparency and security? In this paper we are trying to make our online transactions much more accessible and autonomous to interact whole being highly secure so as they can be integrated in the new gen smart homes systems and the home security systems, blockchain is the key to this need that we need to integrate with IoT to make our transactions more objective centered and have our payment system autonomous to make interactions with the daily services monitored by a IoT based smart device ecosystem more hassle free and fully secured. For this we will be going through the mining of blocks and their suggested applicability in the IoT ecosystem.","PeriodicalId":214619,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Advances in Computing and Communication Engineering (ICACCE)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115090178","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore the image segmentation is a very important step in most computer vision systems. Our aim is to improve the quality of the segmented image by the Quadtree division method, for this we proposed three approaches: the first is to segment the palette of gray levels in 32 intervals to reduce the blocks number obtained in order to avoid over-segmentation, the second is to cooperate two methods one for the regions-based segmentation using the Quadtree method and the other for the edges-based segmentation using Sobel operator or Canny operator, in order to obtain reliable result by exploiting the advantages of both types of segmentation. The third and last is a hybridization between the Quadtree and one of the segmentation by clustering method that is K-means, using the peaks number detected by the equalized histogram. For a good automation of the system, we have assigned this peaks number to K the class number in Kmeans.","PeriodicalId":214619,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Advances in Computing and Communication Engineering (ICACCE)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114467974","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The solution is generated by assigning resources' shares for the conflicting parties based on preference elicitation process. The proposed algorithm obtains optimal solutions that satisfy Nash equilibrium. We have successfully implemented and tested our algorithm. The implementation is flexible in the sense that the conflict can involve multiple weighted conflicting parties and multiple weighted resources whether those resources are divisible or not. Moreover, it allows for both text and image data to be incorporated. The implementation also permits users to participate in the solution generation process through the use of the F-mode option. In addition to comparing our results with those of similar publications, we have used the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam conflict as a proof of concept.","PeriodicalId":214619,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Advances in Computing and Communication Engineering (ICACCE)","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122093240","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
