In this developed two-stage structure, 400 V three-phase three-level T-type PFC ac-dc input stage is followed by an isolated dc-dc buck converter as an output stage. The combination of SiC Schottky Barrier Diodes (SBDs) and Super Junction (SJ) MOSFETs are employed for input stage in order to achieve high switching frequency of operation at lower total semiconductor losses. Employing three-level topology at high switching frequency of 58 kHz contributes considerable volume reduction of magnetic components in the input stage. Two different switching schemes, soft switching (ZVS) with phase-shift control at high operating point and hard switching with on duty control at lower operating point are adaptively employed in the dc-dc output stage in order to maintain high efficiency over wide range of operating point. The operating switching frequency of 65 kHz is chosen for the output stage. Modularized UPS system consists of a single master module and multi slave modules. A master module performs output voltage control and distributes current commands to slave modules. The current commands are generated by using the proposed current sharing algorithm to balance the SOC of each UPS module. Moreover, the UPS mode transfer time can be significantly reduced by using the predictive current control. The predictive current control method is mathematically verified by analyzing the UPS system. In this paper, with varying shunt capacitance and output resonant capacitance, discrete control which keeps nominal operation of class E amplifier can be applied to both varying resistance and varying reactance, namely, any variations in the output impedance. The pulse-width-modulation technique and soft commutation technique are used in the proposed rectifier to promote the circuit performance. The proposed circuit includes two boost converter which are operated at interleaved mode to increase the output power and reduce the input ripple current. A ZCS-PWM auxiliary circuit is configured in the presented rectifier to provide the ZCS function on main switches and auxiliary switches and improve the problem of switching losses and EMI. The conduction loss depends on modulation index (MI) and power factor (PF), whereas the switching loss depends on switching frequency, so the power loss analyses have been done at the different operating points of MI, PF, and switching frequency. And power losses of 3LNPCI and 3LTI with NPC and T-type inverter dedicated modules are calculated based on the theoretical formula and PSiM thermal module by using the real parameter values of switching devices. The principle of the proposed system is described in detail, and is implemented in a prototype system. This converter is based on a voltage-source primary circuit and a current-source secondary circuit with an active clamp circuit. To decrease the lower limit of the input voltage for a large voltage range, the proposed topology uses a “small boost circuit” consisting of only a boosting capacitor and a switch on the secondary side. Only when the input voltage is decreased, the switch is kept in the on-state and the secondary voltage is boosted by using transformer series inductance. CPLs, usually, cause instability issues for DC/DC converters due to their negative impedance characteristic. The state-space averaged model analysis of the converter is performed and stability regions of the converter while feeding CPL and constant voltage load (CVL) are investigated. A dual-loop control method is utilized to stabilize the power electronic converter while providing constant power and regulating the output voltage to satisfy both CPL and CVL.
