Along with this miniaturized RF systems and components, the size of the antenna becomes one of the largest and cumbersome system components. As a result, small size, light weight, low profile and power efficient antennas are in great demand. In this paper the study of the effect of various geometrical slots in the ground plane of a 50Ω microstrip transmission line fed slot antenna for compact operation is presented. The study includes four different types of ground plane slots: (a) conventional rectangular slot, (b) square dumbbell slot, (c) circular dumbbell slot and (d) double cross slot. Its found that using the square dumbbell slot resulted in 31% reduction in the antenna size compared to the conventional slot antenna. Numerical simulations are carried out using CST microwave studio based on the finite integration time-domain technique.","PeriodicalId":211523,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Computer and Information Application","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-12-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128829784","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The convenience and flexibility offered by mobile communications have made it one of the fastest growing areas of telecommunications. Mobile communication systems have experienced rapid growth in the number of users as well as the range of services provided during the last two decades. The Global System for Mobile communications, GSM, is a pan-European Mobile communication system in the 900 MHz band which was first introduced in the early years of this decade. An increasing demand for data transmission services over the GSM system has been driven by the wide use of the internet applications. In this thesis, we focus on the survey of GSM for wireless communication, which is one of the most widely deployed second generation wireless cellular systems in the world. While voice was the primary service provided early communication systems, current systems offer other transmission services. One of the most commonly used cellular systems is based on the Global System for Mobile communication, GSM, standard. We briefly introduce the GSM System configuration and major properties. It included five parts. It is about service and features, architecture of GSM system, channel and frame structure of GSM, GSM security features, data in the GSM System.","PeriodicalId":211523,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Computer and Information Application","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116657681","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The control system is based on sliding mode control. By measurements of vehicle states, the control algorithm determines the level of vehicle stability and intervenes as necessary through individual wheel traction control to provide added stability and handing predictability. Therefore, the stability control system distributes torque and power to each motor to meet the requirements of each wheel. The effectiveness and validation of the proposed fuzzy control method are evaluated both by Matlab/Simulink based on simulations. Simulation results of dynamic responses for sideslip angle and yaw rate of the EV manifest that the fuzzy control system can assist drivers with controlling the stability of the vehicle during adverse driving maneuvers over a variety of road conditions and enhance the handling stability of the EV.","PeriodicalId":211523,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Computer and Information Application","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125871110","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One interesting issue is how to design the position of multiple antennas on wireless terminal. In this paper, the Genetic Algorithm (GA) is employed to find the optimal antenna placement in order to achieve the best capacity benefit. The effect of mutual coupling based on Z-parameter is the main factor to determine the MIMO capacity concerning as the objective function of GA search. Two cases of 3×3 and 4×4 MIMO systems are experimentally studied. We evaluate the PPB using both database-based and range-based indoor systems in an office building. We further compare PPB with Cramer-Rao bound (CRB), a classic lower bound estimator based on the variance of a deterministic parameter. Experimental results indicate that PPB provides a very close bound to the CRB when CRB uses a normal distribution model for range measurement errors in the considered building. This prior knowledge of a probability distribution could be unknown or inaccurate when deployment environment changes, and therefore PPB, which is independent of this prior knowledge, could serve as a general lower bound estimator for location determination research.","PeriodicalId":211523,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Computer and Information Application","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127965459","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The approach to determine the appropriate threshold coefficient affects the noise level directly, so the approach used to determine the threshold coefficient is very important. The maximum entropy principle is used to determine threshold coefficient in this paper. De-noising experimental results of a picture with noise shows that the method to determine the threshold coefficient through the maximum entropy principle and then wavelet compress de-noising is accomplished, which is used to complain combine the threshold coefficient through the maximum entropy principle and wavelet compression de-noising and the result is satisfied.","PeriodicalId":211523,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Computer and Information Application","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130951072","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
