It focuses on the problems of transport and functional congestion of the city due to its growing urbanization. The ways of solving these problems are treated in the town-planning system in comparison with the European and Russian experience. The author shows how in the conditions of the development of information and communication technologies the role of professional ethics of a journalist is increasing. Various studies have documented a decline in trust in media, which is largely due to the decline in the professional ethics of journalists, amount of intentional and unintentional errors, and the use of media as a tool in information wars. The author analyzes examples of the manipulative influence of modern media and shows the specificity of the influence of new media on the mass consciousness. In the context of the transition to a networked society and the ever-increasing role of information processes, the growth of social tension and confrontation, both within the country and in the international arena, it is necessary to turn to the fundamental principles of professional ethics.
