The segmentation of image data is of great importance for the determination of the area to be studied and for the reduction of the size of the data to be studied. Working with image data creates an exponentially increasing workload depending on the size and number of images and requires high computing power using machine learning methods. Our study aims to achieve high success in bone segmentation, the first step in medical object detection studies. In many situations and cases, such as fractures and age estimation, the humerus and radius of the upper extremity and the femur and tibia of the lower extremity of the human skeleton provide data. In our bone segmentation study on X-RAY images, 160 images from one hundred patients were collected using data compiled from accessible databases. Additionally, the fast neutron effective removal cross sections (ΣR) have been calculated using the empirical calculation method, Phy-X/PSD, MRCsC program, experimental and MNCP5 with the help of fast neutron mass removal cross sections. Among all the materials studied, Nylon-12 has the highest ΣR value. In the production of these materials, aluminosilicate powder materials are used together with alkali or acid solutions. Geopolymers have different types of superiorities, such as rapid strength gain, high mechanical properties and good durability. This experimental study investigated the properties of expanded glass aggregate-bearing Class F fly ash-based lightweight geopolymer mortars. The fresh unit weight, water absorption capacity, compressive strength and high-temperature resistance (upon exposure to 900°C) of the mortars were determined. In addition, basalt fiber addition's effects on these properties were investigated. The inclusion ratios of basalt fiber were 0.1%, 0.2% and 0.4% by volume. The compressive strengths of fiber-free lightweight mixture and mixtures, including 0.1%, 0.2% and 0.4% basalt fiber, were found to be 8.2, 8.9, 9.0 and 8.0 MPa, respectively. The compressive strength of all lightweight mortars increased between 61.3% and 76.4% after the high-temperature effect. It is used in many different areas such as heating and kitchen appliances in homes, and heat treatment and electricity generation in industry. Natural gas is an essential component of the transportation sector, providing a cleaner alternative to traditional fuels in vehicles and fleets. Moreover, natural gas plays a vital role in boosting energy efficiency through the development of combined heat and power systems. These systems produce electricity and useful heat concurrently. As nations move towards more sustainable energy solutions, natural gas has gained prominence as a transitional fuel. This is due to its lower carbon emissions when compared to coal and oil, thus making it an essential component of the global energy framework. In this study, monthly natural gas consumption data of 28 different European countries between 2014 and 2022 are used. Symbolic Aggregate Approximation method is used to analyse the data. Analyses are made with different numbers of segments and numbers of alphabet sizes, and alphabet vectors of each country are created. These letter vectors are used in hierarchical clustering and dendrogram graphs are created. Furthermore, the elbow method is used to determine the appropriate number of clusters. Clusters of countries are created according to the determined number of clusters. Studies on robot arms are generally focused on control. The controllability of robot arms generally provides speed and precision. \u0000Within the scope of this study, the control optimization of a two-arm robot arm with an optimized proportional integral differential controller (PID) was carried out using a microcontroller. The kinematic operations required to control a two-arm robot arm have been developed by the MATLAB Support Package for Arduino Hardware. The transfer function required for the control system was used for a direct current (DC) brushed motor, using the values given in the motor data sheet. Feedback is provided for the control system thanks to the Hall effect encoder. \u0000The gripper end of the two-limbed robot arm follows the specified square-shaped reference. In this study, where PID controller was used, controller parameters were obtained with particle swarm, artificial bee colony and chaos game metaheuristic optimization algorithms for square orbit and these parameters were used on the produced robot arm. \u0000Many methods have been used in the literature to determine PID parameters. The validation of generated GAMOS simulation geometry has been provided by comparing the results with standard XCOM data for mass attenuation coefficients of glass powders. The Monte Carlo simulations were used to score photons that traveled in an absorber within the energy range of 0.01 MeV to 20 MeV, depending on the parameter under study. The simulation model involved a monoenergetic point source producing a pencil beam, absorber, and detector. We have calculated the mass attenuation coefficient (MAC), Half-value layer (HVL), Tenth-value layer (TVL), and Mean Free Path (MFP). The greatest linear attenuation coefficients in the whole energy range are related to Bi60 and the lowest were to Bi45. However, occupational accidents still continue to be an important problem in workplaces around the world. The aim of this study is to examine the necessary articles about the active journals, the most publishing countries, the most used keywords and research areas in the international and Turkish literature on occupational accidents. In this study, bibliometric analysis techniques were used to realize the purpose of the research and to find answers to the research questions. Research data were obtained from the Web of Science (WoS) database in June 2023. VOSviewer and Excel software program were used in the analysis of the data. While the highest number of publications on work accidents in the world was made in 2020, it was made in 2019 in Turkey. While the most publications were made in the field of public, environmental and occupational health as a research subject in the world, the most publications were made in the field of emergency medicine in our country. While Brazil is the most broadcasting country in the world, Turkey ranks third. It has been determined that the most widely published magazine in the world is Safety Science magazine and the most frequently used keyword is work accident. In addition, it has been determined that most of the publications addressing Türkiye were made in Istanbul University. As a result, it is seen that the studies carried out on occupational accidents in the world and in Turkey are not sufficient. However, it is inevitable that insulators will encounter problems such as contamination and icing due to natural environmental conditions and environmental factors. Pollution layers and ice buildup that have developed on insulator surfaces have a detrimental impact on insulation performance, increase surface leakage currents, and result in power line failures or interruptions. This article focuses on understanding the phenomena of contamination and icing in insulators, evaluating their effects, and investigating methods that can be taken to prevent or reduce these problems. For this purpose, solutions with different conductivity values were sprayed on the insulators in the laboratory environment, and ice covering the insulator surface was provided. Leakage currents were investigated by applying an alternating voltage with mains frequency to the insulators. Helical Angular Pressing (HAP) is a newly proposed Severe Plastic Deformation (SPD) method. In order to improve the efficiency of the HAP method, its die geometry should be optimized first. In this context, four parameters (helical diameter, helical pitch, helical height and channel radius) were determined for the die channel geometry, each with four levels according to the literature. Then, thanks to Taguchi L16 combinations, 16 Finite Element Analyses (FEA) were carried out using Deform 3D software instead of 256 simulations, and effective strain values and maximum pressing load values were obtained. Later on, using the SPSS 16 software, Taguchi optimization was carried out to obtain the optimum HAP die channel geometries by minimizing the press load and maximizing the effective strain values. Next, the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) was repeated with these determined optimum die channel parameters. Finally, the efficiency of this novel HAP method was compared with conventional Equal Channel Angular Pressing (ECAP) and Twist Extrusion (TE) methods. As a result, HAP method provides effective strain values equivalent to 10 number of passes after processing with ECAP. And it is approximately 4 times higher than that achieved by TE processing. As a result of the Taguchi optimization, it is concluded that the values in the combination of diameter (d)=60 mm, height (h)=50 mm, radius (r)=4 and pitch (p)=1.25 are the optimum die geometry.
