One form of structured light is an optical vortex beam. The helical wavefront of these vortices carry orbital angular momentum which can be transferred to a Brownian colloid. When the colloid is made of metallic nanostructures, such as silver and gold, resonant optical effects play a vital role, and the interaction leads to complex dynamics and assembly. This brief review aims to discuss some recent work on trapping plasmonic colloids with optical vortices and their lattices. The role of optical scattering and absorption has important implications on the underlying forces and torques, which is specifically enunciated. The effect of spin and orbital angular momentum in an optical vortex can lead to spin-orbit coupling dynamics, and these effects are highlighted with examples from the literature. In addition to assembly and dynamics, enhanced Brownian motion of plasmonic colloids under the influence of a vortex-lattice is discussed. The pedagogical aspects to understand the interaction between optical vortex and plasmonic colloids is emphasized.","PeriodicalId":209214,"journal":{"name":"Indian Journal of Pure & Applied Physics","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124018441","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this regard, the field of cavity quantum optomechanics turns out to be one of the most rapidly emerging area of research. It has opened many doors to study various open ended fundamental questions in quantum physics, apart from numerous possible applications. A typical cavity optomechanical system consists of two mirrors, one fixed while the other one is movable. These systems may be of micrometer or nano-meter in dimensions. The electromagnetic radiation incident on the system may get coupled to the mechanical motion of the movable mirror. This opto-mechanical coupling is the root of all phenomena such as quantum entanglement, state-transfer, squeezing and so on. In this short tutorial, basic concepts of cavity quantum optomechanics are discussed. We hope that this tutorial would motivate readers, both theorists and experimentalists, to take up advanced studies in this immensely fruitful area of research.","PeriodicalId":209214,"journal":{"name":"Indian Journal of Pure & Applied Physics","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129321553","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Often it is difficult to identify the most noise impacting vehicular type especially in urban region with mixed vehicular flow. Herein, we analysed in a systematic way to identify the most noise impacting vehicular type at Hyderabad city of India. The road traffic noise across the corridor-3 metro line known as the blue line metro was chosen in the present study because, it stretches from north to south connecting 23 stations comprising major residential and commercial locations of the city. The noise levels were analysed as per CPCB guidelines. The noise pollution quantifying parameters such as Noise Climate (NC), Noise Pollution Level (L NP ), and Traffic Noise Index (TNI) were analysed across the lane. A systematic analysis revealed that, the two-wheelers are the most noise impacting vehicles in the daytime whereas four-wheelers in the nighttime. Noise map generated using the IDW spatial interpolation method shows the noise impacted regions across the metro lane stretching ~27 km of the city. The methodological pattern in the present investigation can be useful tool in identifying the most noise impacting vehicular type in any region with a mixed vehicular flow.","PeriodicalId":209214,"journal":{"name":"Indian Journal of Pure & Applied Physics","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129414539","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The detection of the harmonic signal can reveal a lot about the physical system. Various Fourier harmonic analysis based numerical methods are commonly used to detect such signals. However, recently there has been considerable interest in other non-Fourier-based methods as well, to determine the harmonics. In the present work we have studied the application of artificial neural network based machine learning in frequency identification of sinusoidal signals. We considered training sets comprising harmonic signals with randomised phase or randomised amplitude or combination of the both. Based on such training sets the trained network is then applied to detect the frequency of unknown harmonics. Here we performed an investigation on the relative advantages of the network trained using sets of harmonic signals with different features.","PeriodicalId":209214,"journal":{"name":"Indian Journal of Pure & Applied Physics","volume":"465 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125726564","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The analytical expression and calculations for the different flow variables i.e ., the particle velocity, temperature, pressure, and change-in-entropy distribution have been derived using the method of wave-front analysis. The abrupt changes in the flow variables have been observed within the shock transition region. The thickness and inverse shock-front thickness are calculated and obtained results are compared with the reported literatures. The effects on the shock structure due to the variation of different flow parameters have been discussed in each case for all the flow variables. Obtained outcomes manifests that the flow parameters i.e ., coefficient of viscosity, Mach number, adiabatic index and Prandtl number exert dominant impact on the structure of shock-front, prominently.","PeriodicalId":209214,"journal":{"name":"Indian Journal of Pure & Applied Physics","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114620525","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we have reported the results for the space-dependent fast neutron spectra and tritium production rate (TPR) in cylindrical assemblies of Li ₂ O. The multigroup diffusion equation has been solved using eigenfunction expansion method. The obtained results for scalar spectra, total flux and TPR in Li ₂ O are compared with corresponding values for natural Li. The space dependent scalar spectrum in Li ₂ O has been compared for different configurations (slab, sphere and cylindrical). We find that the shapes of the curves are almost similar, though the neutron flux is found to be highest in the case of cylindrical assembly. This suggests a larger value of total TBR for a cylindrical geometry. Further, the study of space variation of total flux for Li ₂ O and natural Li shows that there is not much change in the shapes and numerical values, however, it falls sharply near the boundary end surface of the assembly for Li ₂ O as compared to natural Li. Similarly, the fall in the TPR curves becomes more rapid for the case of Li ₂ O as compared to natural Li near the boundary end.. The calculated results of spatial distributions of TPR for 6 Li (n,  )t and ⁷ Li (n,n' α )t reactions are compared with experimentally obtained results for cylindrical slab assemblies. and it is found that agreement is fairly good, both in the case of 7 Li and 6 Li .","PeriodicalId":209214,"journal":{"name":"Indian Journal of Pure & Applied Physics","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123658406","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The antenna performance is closely analyzed in terms of penetration depth, different human tissues, substrate materials, reflection coefficient, Impedance Bandwidth, directive gain, and SAR values. The three different models are analyzed for different resonating frequencies. It is found that the proposed antenna shows dual ISM bands (900 MHz to 970 MHz 2.36GHz to 2.49 GHz) with impedance bandwidth of 7.77 % and 5.5% respectively. The proposed implantable antenna is successfully fabricated and tested in skin mimicking gel (vitro model). The performance of the proposed antenna is enhanced by using a sorting pin and slots that provides dual ISM bands, an acceptable SAR of 856.3 W/KG, and a directive gain of -28.68 dBi. Parametric analysis of the proposed implantable antenna has been studied in detail. Simulated and fabricated results are compared and found almost similar","PeriodicalId":209214,"journal":{"name":"Indian Journal of Pure & Applied Physics","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123890655","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
