Today, there is a diminution of solidarity, which iscontradictory to the “concept of caring”. Users are increasingly indifferent, sometimesselfish, and exaggerate when they come into contact with posts on social media, thustriggering hacking by irresponsible individuals to achieve certain advantages. Thispaper is dedicated to investigating discriminatory actions against lecturers in theFaculty of ABC–University of XYZ who use Facebook and WhatsApp to show off allthe luxuries of life. Through the experimental–qualitative design, the sample invited“social climbing” lecturers who experienced material and non-material losses. Thisstudy describes that respondents who experienced material impacts due to hackingwere more dominant than those who suffered non-material losses. Most judged that thehacking addressed to respondents was triggered by a dominant intensity on social mediarather than going about their daily routines. However, in the long term, lecturers expresstheir attitude toward improving integrity as an academic community. Recognizing thisreality, the practical implications of regulation and lawlessness in cyberspace need to beenforced. In addition, these findings also set the agenda for future studies.","PeriodicalId":206321,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Sosioteknologi","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127179266","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, few studies have evaluated the acceptance of e-learning in non-school education, especially for young students. Using a modified technology acceptance model (TAM) as a theoretical framework, this case study investigates the influencing factors to determine the e-learning acceptance of young students in extracurricular education. The model was validated by empirical data collected from a mathematics tutoring center in Indonesia for primary and secondary students. While the literature suggests that young students tend to hold enjoyment as the most critical determinant toward their e-learning acceptance, this study shows the contrary result for extracurricular education, in which perceived usefulness becomes the most determining factor. The study also shows a substantial influence of subjective norms and system characteristics on students’ intentions to adopt or reject e-learning.","PeriodicalId":206321,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Sosioteknologi","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125991157","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our social worlds are going digital, with perhaps hundreds of millions of people interacting through various online communities and their associated cybercultures. Netnography is a form of ethnographic research adapted to the unique contingencies of computer-mediated social interaction. This book aims to provide a set of methodological guidelines, a disciplined approach to the culturally—oriented study of that technologically—mediated social interaction that occurs through the Internet and related information and communications technologies. The methods that these various fields have used to investigate these topics are still somewhat uncertain and in flux. Most of this type of work written after the term was coined uses the guidelines and techniques that have been published about the netnographic approach.","PeriodicalId":206321,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Sosioteknologi","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126027863","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research focused on social studies teachers in junior high schools in South Tangerang City. Each school is represented by one social studies teacher, so data is collected from 100 social studies teachers. The primary data collected in this study was obtained through the distribution of the questionnaire carried out via Google Form by utilizing the MGMP IPS in South Tangerang. The results show that the implementation of BBL in South Tangerang City did not run optimally because of two things: first, most of the BBL aspects had not been carried out optimally by teachers. Teachers rarely do many components of brain-based learning systems. Second, the survey results show that the five aspects of BBL are not carried out in harmony in social studies learning. BBL is a harmony learning pattern, where the five elements are carried out simultaneously, practically, and harmoniously because one part supports the other. If one part is too dominant, it will negatively impact learning outcomes.","PeriodicalId":206321,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Sosioteknologi","volume":"83 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115758024","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on databoks.katadata.co.id, households are known to be waste contributors. Then, based on the Katadata Insight Center (KIC) survey in 2019, it was found that 50.8% of households did not sort waste. The behavior of households is an important problem to be solved because mixed waste cannot be separated and recycled again. Seeing these conditions, it is necessary to design a waste bin to persuade households to perform waste-sorting activities. The waste problem is considered wicked, and design thinking is the appropriate method to approach it. Research with design thinking is carried out through understanding, observing, defining, creating ideas, prototyping, and testing stages. In testing the prototype, the persuasive level of the waste bin design was assessed using the Perceived Persuasiveness Questionnaire (PPQ). The South Korean Government pays special attention to the development and promotion of its country's tourism by forming a special organization, namely the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO). This study aims to determine the process of image building and promotion of South Korean tourism through descriptive qualitative analysis using the concept of nation branding. The data collection process was carried out through interviews with the KTO and also the Indonesian public who were the audiences of the 'Feel the Rhythm of Korea' campaign. This research shows that KTO has succeeded in identifying its market so that the implementation of nation branding is carried out efficiently through digital media and brings up elements of music and dance as unique selling points in its promotion. In addition, KTO has also succeeded in attracting public interest by using a nation-brand ambassador. The conclusion of this study is that KTO's innovation in using digital media to carry out nation branding and tourism promotion is the right decision, so that it succeeds in creating a positive image and encouraging the desire of the Indonesian public to travel to South Korea.","PeriodicalId":206321,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Sosioteknologi","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114357548","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
