It is a technology that leverages cost and considers locational challenges. The emergence of cloud computing has brought innovation and hope to many under-developed countries with less skilled workforce, limited resources and unstable electricity supply. Although this technology is transforming information technology, it still faces some significant challenges like high energy consumption rate, confusion in adoption method and security issues. The focus of this paper is on reducing the problems with ambiguity on data center structure and its power usage by simplifying how the application works and then provide a holistic approach to minimizing it power usage rate. This paper minimizes the energy utilization of the cloud data center using an intelligent method to shut down, schedule and monitors the entire cloud system. Additionally, observing the complexity of the cloud system design, a holistic approach to calculating and measuring the percise amount of power usage during each operational cycle is vital to achieving a more efficient data centre energy model. This work proposes an improved energy model that calculates, in detail, the energy usage on the system by focusing on each system component and its contribution to the high energy consumption level of the data centre. Furthermore, the proposed model is then used to develop an algorithm that minimises the power usage in the cloud environment to an optimal low level while maintaining high level of service level agreement. The result obtained from this experiment shows that the developed model removed a high level of obscurity in the issue of the cause of high energy consumption in the data center and thereby encourage cloud providers to act accordingly in reducing the effect.","PeriodicalId":206080,"journal":{"name":"2019 Big Data, Knowledge and Control Systems Engineering (BdKCSE)","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122316936","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We verified the uniqueness and the existence of the model's equations using the Lipchitz condition to check the validity of the model. The basic concept of disease transmission is discussed. We applied the Variational Iteration Method (VIM) to solve the model equations. The model equations are described by a nonlinear differential equation of order one. The model is solved using VIM. The validity of the method was verified by the Runge-Kutta method of order four (RK4) implemented in Maple 16 software. In order to confirm the efficiency of VIM, the solutions obtained by the two methods were compared. The profiles of the solutions of each variable in the model were presented and we confirmed that VIM and RK4 were in good agreement. The results reveal that VIM is accurate and efficient in finding the solution to the Typhoid fever model.","PeriodicalId":206080,"journal":{"name":"2019 Big Data, Knowledge and Control Systems Engineering (BdKCSE)","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125256226","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In an attempt to address this growing problem, a novel pipeline system is proposed. This concept involves segmenting the pipeline system with segmentation rings and embedding a linear wireless network in the annular airgap between the two pipe layers. Presence of fluid in the case of a leakage into the interpipe space causes degradation of the wireless network to a point of interrupting the communication in a particular pipeline segment far before any external leak occurring.","PeriodicalId":206080,"journal":{"name":"2019 Big Data, Knowledge and Control Systems Engineering (BdKCSE)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121309506","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The causal structure is represented through causal virtual devices corresponding to parasitic, carried and served traffic. Causal composition and decomposition of traffic quality is represented graphically and analytically. A naming system of the virtual devices is proposed which takes into account the level of inclusion of the base virtual devices into the comprised. Different traffic quality aggregations are derived for service compositions in the cases of consecutively and parallel connected virtual devices.","PeriodicalId":206080,"journal":{"name":"2019 Big Data, Knowledge and Control Systems Engineering (BdKCSE)","volume":"404 2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116391071","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For calibration of the honey classifier, thirty-six samples from three types of honey (produced from acacia, linden, and honeydew) are measured by a spectrophotometer “Cary100” with recorded wavelength range of 190~900 nm. Initially, we use the method of principal components analysis (PCA) to lower the number of wavelengths (inputs) and to produce a proper visualization of the experimental results. Next, the first two principal components are combined separately with Naïve Bayes classification (NBC) and k-means clustering (KMC) to develop PC-NBC and PC-KMC models. The high accuracy of the proposed honey classifiers is confirmed by a leave-one-out cross-validation test performed in MATLAB environment.","PeriodicalId":206080,"journal":{"name":"2019 Big Data, Knowledge and Control Systems Engineering (BdKCSE)","volume":"192 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133583192","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this publication, a method for the design of an operating station based on Tcl/Tk is presented. A portable open source programming platform is used that is implemented for different operating systems (Windows, Unix, Linux, Solaris, Android). Three possible approaches to building an operating station are illustrated - Classic approach, “Multi-interpreter” realization using a number of Tcl interpreters; “Multi-threaded” mode. The approaches are illustrated by presenting an implementation of an operating station for a wireless control system for a group of intelligent instruments, which are designed for SCADA Ignition applications. Unlike other software platforms the presented operation station based on Tcl/Tk possesses some advantages main of which is that the language model assumes the use of hierarchical structures including more than one interpreter, each of which having their own set of operators and addressing space. Tcl/Tk based applications are presented.","PeriodicalId":206080,"journal":{"name":"2019 Big Data, Knowledge and Control Systems Engineering (BdKCSE)","volume":"95 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123752510","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
