Four parasitic elements are utilized rotationally between the dipoles and the re(cid:13)ector. Not only does inducing vertical currents on the parasitic patches excite additional impedance resonance to realize an ultra-wideband operating, but also reinforced radiation is obtained to improve the ARBW and HPBW. The experimental results show that the proposed antenna realizes a (cid:0) 10 dB impedance bandwidth of 134.3% and a 3 dB axial-ratio (AR) bandwidth of 115.0%, while holding a compact volume of 0.25 (cid:21) L (cid:2) 0 : 25 (cid:21) L (cid:2) 0 : 09 (cid:21) L ( (cid:21) L : wavelength at the lowest operating frequency). The (cid:12)ltering antenna adopts dual-layer structures. By introducing four parasitic patches around the top driven patch, the impedance bandwidth is widened. Moreover, the current directions on the driven patch and parasitic patches are opposite in some frequency, so that radiation null is introduced. In addition, a rectangular split ring DGS is etched in the middle of the ground plane, a lower sideband radiation null is introduced. Two sets of dumbbell-shaped defected ground structures are etched on the ground plane of the intermediate layer. The high-order harmonics are suppressed, and another radiation null is introduced. The experimental results show that the antenna operates at 2.46{2.66 GHz; the relative bandwidth is 7.8%; the peak gain is 3.8 dBi; and the S 11 is more than (cid:0) 3 dB at 3{13 GHz.","PeriodicalId":20579,"journal":{"name":"Progress in Electromagnetics Research Letters","volume":"34 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.9,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69003454","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Simultaneously, a pair of slotline stubs are respectively loaded on the signal line and ground of the CPW feed structure, which is used to generate radiation nulls near the edges of the passband. Furthermore, the two radiation nulls can be controlled independently by adjusting the length of the loaded two pairs of slotline stubs. In addition, it is interesting that TE 111 mode is split due to the different loading effects of slotline stubs in feed network, thereby three resonances in the passband are formed. Finally, an FDRA with quasi-elliptic function response is realized without additional (cid:12)ltering circuit. The prototype of the FDRA operating at 3.53 GHz was fabricated and measured to verify the design validity. The measured results show that the impedance bandwidth is 13.6% (3.29{3.77 GHz); the gain is basically stable at 5.7 dBi within the passband; and the two radiation nulls are located at 3.05 GHz and 3.88 GHz, respectively.","PeriodicalId":20579,"journal":{"name":"Progress in Electromagnetics Research Letters","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.9,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69000605","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

From a physical space perspective, the four transmission lines are reduced to two transmission lines. Meanwhile, the replacement of signal transmission of four-channels 2PAM (Pulse Amplitude Modulation) with signal transmission of two-channels 4PAM can reduce the quantity of transmission line and increase the space between the transmission lines. Thus, it can reduce the crosstalk. Under the same signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), the change in symbol error rate (SER) after signals of four-channels 2PAM are changed to those of two-channels 4PAM is given. Results show that the latter has an advantage in anti-crosstalk compared with the former in terms of the in(cid:13)uence of crosstalk on SER. From the signal space perspective, applying signal linear combination transformation can convert the multiplexing signals in the interconnects into orthogonal mode. This process can cancel the crosstalk. In this study, the two methods are combined to save wiring while reducing crosstalk. ADS simulation results show that the eye pattern of 4 PAM signal recovers well by saving half the number of transmission lines.","PeriodicalId":20579,"journal":{"name":"Progress in Electromagnetics Research Letters","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.9,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68998649","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The TZs are constructed by using lumped elements in series with dielectric resonators, which is different from conventional methods such as introducing a cross coupling between nonadjacent resonators and mixed coupling between adjacent resonators. The proposed filter consists of two dielectric resonators, a capacitor, an inductor, two PIN diodes, etc. Two PIN diodes are used as switches to realize reconfigurable TZ(s). The mechanism is analyzed theoretically. An equivalent schematic diagram is simulated by using ADS software. The simulated results show that the structure can realize four response states, i.e., no TZ in the stopband, one TZ in the lower stopband, one TZ in the upper stopband, and two TZs in both sides of the stopband of the filter, respectively. The dielectric resonators (DRs) were made of dielectric ceramics with high dielectric constant of about 92. The filter was fabricated on a dielectric substrate and measured by using a vector network analyzer and double regulated DC power supply.","PeriodicalId":20579,"journal":{"name":"Progress in Electromagnetics Research Letters","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.9,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68999489","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
