The influence of pH, treatment time and resin concentration on the adsorption of metal ions from industrial wastewater was investigated. The reaction time was set as 24, 48, 72, 96, and 120 hours. The structure and optical characteristics of nanocomposites were analyzed using Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) and ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy, respectively. Reaction time affected prepared nanocomposites by decreasing the intensity of the P3HT/MWCNT-OH peaks gradually with increasing of the reaction time. The super-Nernstian slope of the projected sensor was 19.5 mV per decade over a concentration range of 7.3·10−8 –1·10−1 M having detection limit at 7.3·10−8 M. The sensor displayed a linear potential response for the detection of Fe3+ ions in about 30 seconds, and it had a lifespan of no less than 9 weeks without lacking any potential divergence. By modification of polymer matrices with vinylbenzyl chloride followed by its derivatization with N-methyl glucamine a new kind of sorbents were obtained. The testing of boron sorption reviled that the process efficiency was related to the pore diameter and the content of ligand in the sorbent. Based on the spectral reflectance, the CIE L*a*b* color coordinates, the color difference (ΔE), the opacity and the translucency parameter (TP) were determined using a spectrophotometer equipped with a D65 illuminant. The PEKK and Ni-Cr groups demonstrated similar CIE L*a*b* color values on white and black backgrounds. However, the zirconia group on a white backgrounds showed a slight shift in values towards red-yellow shades. The highest recorded ∆E values were 1.3 and 1.61 between PEKK and YZ groups, and Ni-Cr and YZ groups respectively. The opacity and translucency (TP) parameters were consistent with the spectral reflectance data, with the Ni-Cr and PEKK groups being completely opaque (100% and 0 TP). This is especially true of the craniofacial area, which consists of bone tissues with a very complex geometry. Titanium alloys are still used in medicine as implantable materials. However, due to the continuous improvement of mechanical and functional properties, the scope of  polymeric materials application in medicine is expanding. Each model used directly or indirectly during a surgical procedure must meet many conditions. One of them is to obtain the appropriate condition of the surface layer, which has a significant impact on the reactions between the applied surgical template or implant and the living organism. Knowledge of the printed models made of polymeric materials surface roughness parameters  may allow the targeted modification  planning of the surface layer, allowing better application during the procedure. In this study, the research on the comparative analysis of the obtained values of surface roughness parameters of the anatomical structures of the mandible made of selected polymer materials with the use of additive techniques was presented. In the research process, the following materials were used: polylactic acid (PLA), polycarbonate (PC), three photo polyacrylic resins (marked in the manuscript as AR1, AR2 and AR3) and polyamide (PA11). On the basis of them, physical models of the mandible lateral sections were made using 3D printing techniques. Measurements of the model surfaces geometric structure were carried out using a 3D contact profilometer. In the process of determining the surface roughness, the measurement data was filtered in accordance with the ISO 4288 standard. The effect of the coupling agent – PHBV grafted with maleic anhydride (PHBV-g-MA) was also investigated. The best adhesion at the interface was observed for propionylation of sisal fibre, which improved the thermal properties of the composites. Composites with modified sisal fibre were characterized by higher activation energy (155 kJ/mol), which is related to stronger interactions at the matrix-fibre interface. In the microbial growth test, all biocomposites showed a decrease in molecular weight due to enzymatic degradation by Aspergillus niger. The most resistant to microorganisms was the composite containing propionylated sisal fibre. DMTA and TGA also confirmed the highest microbiological stability of the composite with the addition of propionylated sisal fibre, as evidenced by the smallest change in the properties after the microbiological growth test.
