An increase in population in urban cities leads to the risk of increasing deceased cases due to road accidents. Metropolitan cities needed a preventive & scalable system to prevent the loss of life due to accidents. Nevertheless, each method has limitations, such as usability, complexity, scalability, and burdensome implementation. This work describes the various approaches used to date in drunk driving systems with their pros and cons. Techniques are also grouped based on the methodology adopted by the researcher as follows; Alcohol sensor-based, IOT or Videos Based, Ignition Control using Hardware-based, Touch-based technology, Using Machine Learning or Neural Networks, and Hybrid approaches. This work also lists the accuracy of machine learning algorithms like Linear Discriminant Analysis, Support Vector Machine, Ada Boost, and Random Forest acclimated to the drunk-driving system.","PeriodicalId":199675,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2022 Fourteenth International Conference on Contemporary Computing","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123090684","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While tremendous effort has been put in to it by healthcare facilities, both public and private, it would not be a stretch to state that the resources allotted were not enough to handle the floods of covid and the non-covid patients at the same time. As the entire world was under lockdown, it was considerably tougher for people to move around. This meant getting check-ups for covid was fairly tough. Thus, building up many hospital camps around a city became important. In this article, the locations of different healthcare institutions and residential flats in and around the city of Bhubaneswar were analysed. Clusters were generated out of highly dense regions utilising a number of unsupervised learning density based clustering techniques and the best model was picked among them. Folium leaflet maps in Python were used to show the clusters created from the best performing clustering method. This would allow us to collect crucial information identifying areas in severe need of medical attention. Thus, resources can be divided evenly among the population with the information acquired.","PeriodicalId":199675,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2022 Fourteenth International Conference on Contemporary Computing","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125121534","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The exponential growth of IoT devices and big data complicates fog resource distribution. Inefficient resource allocation can result in resource scarcity and the inability to finish a task assignment on time. As a result, correct allocation is required to improve the efficiency of fog resources. Resource allocation is a difficult task with heterogeneous constraint resources. As fog computing deals with real-time data, therefore, needs resource allocation in real-time that increases the necessity of having appropriate and optimal resource allocation in real-time. Therefore, this paper targets optimal resource allocation. To address the resource allocation problem, Q-learning with function Approximator for clustering based Optimal resource Allocation (QL(FA)-CORA) model is designed, considering the problem as a decision making problem, reinforcement learning method is used to solve it. Problem formulation is done using the Markov decision process. Clustering is done to reduce the service time. Proposed an optimal resource allocation using the QL function approximator (ORA- QLFA) algorithm. to enhance the efficiency and performance of the proposed fog environment. Simulations are done to evaluate the validation of the proposed algorithm. Also, comparisons are made with linear Q networks using different parameters such as expected discounted return, maximum steps taken by the fog resource controller, etc. Simulation results show the proposed algorithm performs better in all the cases and converged to optimal results after a few iterations rather than a linear Q network.","PeriodicalId":199675,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2022 Fourteenth International Conference on Contemporary Computing","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115098860","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

SDC features capture temporal variations in the speech signal effectively across several frames. The UCLASS stuttered speech dataset and IIITH-IED dataset are used here to develop frame-level automatic disfluency detection systems for four types of disfluencies and the effect of SDC features on the detection of each disfluency type is examined using MFCC and SFFCC cepstral representations. Overall, it is found that using MFCC+SDC features gives an absolute improvement of 2.98% and 6.02% for stuttered and spontaneous speech disfluency detection respectively over the static MFCC features, while SFFCC+SDC features give an absolute improvement of 4.62% for stutter disfluencies and 7.28% for spontaneous speech disfluencies over the static SFFCC features, showing the importance of considering temporal variations for disfluency detection.","PeriodicalId":199675,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2022 Fourteenth International Conference on Contemporary Computing","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128640186","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A significant feature of COVID-19, according to recent investigations, is an altered respiratory state induced by viral infections. In this paper, we present a non-contact method for screening the respiratory health of COVID-19 patients using RGB-infrared sensors to analyze their breathing patterns. The block diagram the proposed method is shown in Fig. 1. First, we use facial recognition to obtain breathing data from the individuals. The respiratory data is applied to multiple neural networks, including LSTM, BiLSTM, GRU, and BiGRU. An attention mechanism is then used in the neural network to obtain a health screening result from the respiration dataset. With an accuracy of 70.83 percent, our BiGRU model accurately identifies the respiratory health condition whether it is normal or abnormal.","PeriodicalId":199675,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2022 Fourteenth International Conference on Contemporary Computing","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124654245","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A dataset with fewer elements, which causes the aggregation run of a classifier to decrease. This paper suggests two quality development strategies for a data set. The class plausibility construction technique is used for highlights with a weak crossing region and the manufacturing component development strategy is used for elements with a high crossing region. An attempt is made to analyses the presentation of the proposed technique using four data sets with two classes and four data sets with several classes with different stroke sizes. When an RoF link is designed to transmit both analog and digital data, the performance of the link is totally changed, providing optimum benefits in each transmission. In this paper, the performance of both digital and analog data transmission over different fiber lengths has been investigated in which digital signal is generated through NRZ line coding and analog signal is transmitted at 10 GHz frequency by employing Mach Zehnder Modulator (MZM). The performance of digital RoF link is analyzed through eye patterns which show Bit Error Rate (BER) and Quality factor (Q-factor) of the received signal. The findings of digital data transmission are obtained which shows that Q-factor varies from 22.04 dB to 21.23 dB for fiber length 1km to 30km. The performance of analog data transmission is analyzed through peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) value and the peak SNR value is obtained, which varies from -95.30 dB to -106.31 dB for fiber length 1km to 30km. The reduction in SNR has been found as 11.01 dB concerning the optical fiber impairments from 1km to 30km.","PeriodicalId":199675,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2022 Fourteenth International Conference on Contemporary Computing","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133348996","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Accurate and rapid detection of enemy arsenal and threats can help better plan and deploy military armaments while greatly reducing human casualty and economic losses. Unmanned ground systems with good maneuverability, superior wireless communication, and powerful multi-sensor and data processing capabilities can significantly advantage over the enemies. One of the key data processing tasks, i.e., land-warfare threat detection, is developed and tested in this paper. The goal is to identify and differentiate between threats in a warfare scenario. Four such threats have been defined and used to develop the detection algorithm for the study: soldiers, tanks, tents, and helicopters. Different object detection algorithms (ODAs) such as Single Shot Detector (SSD), CenterNet and Faster R-CNN based on pre-trained Convolutional Neural Networks were tested and compared. COCO evaluation metrics were used as performance parameters to evaluate each detection algorithm on the different threats selected. The results show that CenterNet ODA performs better in evaluation and inference when compared to other ODAs, obtaining the highest mean Average Precision of 85.89% and 93.75%, respectively, at 0.5 IoU with Resent101 V1 CNN architecture. The best trade-off between all performance parameters was obtained again using CenterNet Resent101 V1 FPN. The inference was tested on a Raspberry Pi-based UGV streamed data. It was concluded that such systems have a key role in future warfare with a strong communication system and a lighter version of ODA. Further, researchers and engineers can use the work achieved in this paper to develop robust detection and data processing models and incorporate it into various applications and domains.","PeriodicalId":199675,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2022 Fourteenth International Conference on Contemporary Computing","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115696323","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, this imparts reduction in operating speed and robustness. To overcome this, the proposed work focus on the design of a novel Transmission Gate based Clock Delayed Dual Keeper Domino Logic topology (TG_CDDK) and PMOS Transmission Gate based Clock Delayed Dual Keeper Domino Logic topology (PMOS_TG_CDDK) . The proposed keeper circuit comprises two keeper transistors in series and is controlled by a transmission gate configuration. Using this TG_CDDK, the keeper circuit is enabled only after a delay during the initial evaluation phase. This facilitate faster discharge of the dynamic node without any contention on the pull-down network (PDN) evaluating a TRUE condition. Further, the decrease in the feedback loop gain eliminates the aggravation of the variability effects while the circuit is continuously operated. The circuit was designed and simulated using Cadence® Virtuoso with 180nm technology library. The ADEL spectre results demonstrate 39.8% and 37.7% increase in speed in the proposed designs over the conventional domino logic and an optimal delay variability of 8.02% and 7.11% while subjected to 2000 runs using ADEXL.","PeriodicalId":199675,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2022 Fourteenth International Conference on Contemporary Computing","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121865285","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
