Anomaly detection for multivariate time series is of great importance in detecting and locating system failures, device malfunctions and malicious attacks in IoT. In this paper, we propose a new anomaly detection model, called Graph Attention-based Gated Recurrent Unit (GAGRU), to exploit the complex spatiotemporal features in multivariate time series. The proposed GAGRU is basically an attention-based Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU), which embeds the graph attention mechanism into the GRU to integrate the spatial features while exploiting the temporal dependency of data using GRU. Moreover, the GAGRU model is also designed to automatically learn the graph structure and score anomalies under their own TopK criterion. Experiments on two real-world datasets demonstrate the performance improvement of the proposed GAGRU model.","PeriodicalId":199421,"journal":{"name":"2022 14th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123884440","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Integrating blockchain into 6G can provide a credible decentralized environment between untrusted parties. Most existing works assume that the block propagation time is ignorable as it is insignificant compared with the block mining time in consensus. However, the block propagation time is no longer negligible in such a wireless and heterogeneous 6G network. To be specific, the deterministic communication in the wired network changes to the opportunistic communication resulting from the moving nodes (e.g., vehicles and satellites) that adopt wireless communication. In this work, we study block propagation in the 6G network. Specifically, we establish the analytical model with the discrete-time Markov chain from the microscopic view to portray the block propagation process in three specific cases. On this basis, we present a hybrid-communication-modes-based block propagation mechanism (HCM) to optimize the propagation time. Finally, the simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed mechanism.","PeriodicalId":199421,"journal":{"name":"2022 14th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP)","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131188182","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Wireless gesture recognition is mainly realized by analyzing the change of propagation channel, especially the phase change of reflection path. However, the law of phase change is closely related to the position and orientation of the user, as well as the positions of transmitter and receiver. The gesture recognition system trained in a given environment usually does not work well in a new environment. In this paper we propose a position and orientation independent gesture recognition method, where the phase change under any position configuration is transformed to the gesture trajectory in an invariant body coordinate system. The transformation matrix implicitly embodies the impact of position and orientation, and is estimated by a preamble gesture each time reaching a new environment. The method is verified in a prototype system, and the recognition accuracies under different position configurations are tested.","PeriodicalId":199421,"journal":{"name":"2022 14th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP)","volume":"50 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131336684","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To characterize the blocking effect of a curved tunnel, we firstly adopt a geometric semicircle to represent the tunnel, followed by a bicircular arc to represent the inner and outer sides of the curved tunnel. In this case, the range of effective scatterers is calculated and the scatterers are partitioned by angle information of the vehicle in our proposed channel model. Then, we derive the corresponding simulation model and calculate the channel impulse response (CIRs) for this model. Furthermore, the impacts of various factors such as tunnel size, the velocity of the vehicle, and the blocking effect of a curved tunnel on the proposed channel model are investigated via key statistical properties, e.g., the temporal autocorrelation function (ACF) and the spatial cross-correlation function (CCF). Finally, our simulation show that our proposed model has the potential to capture the characteristics of massive MIMO V2V channels in curved tunnel environments and provide guidance for the design of the corresponding system and performance evaluation in the future.","PeriodicalId":199421,"journal":{"name":"2022 14th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP)","volume":"248 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121760476","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Transmission frame structures in conventional data link protocols designed for such networks mitigate the impact of delays by using techniques such as guard interval, which reduces the effective transmission time of the network. However, large propagation delays can be used to enable more concurrent transmissions. In this paper, we derive the upper bound on the throughput of directional-beam-based networks with large propagation delays. Further, we present a novel transmission frame structure that regards the propagation delay as a buffer to achieve the upper bound of such networks and an algorithm to find an approximate frame length for general delays. Finally, simulation results verify that the proposed frame structure with the frame length obtained by the proposed algorithm achieves the much higher throughput compared with the existing counterparts.","PeriodicalId":199421,"journal":{"name":"2022 14th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127702658","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Generally, roadside sensors are the primary approach to obtaining traffic data. However, low-cost traffic sensing is a challenge as obtaining complete traffic network information often requires expensive detector equipment. Therefore, it is critical to deploy the sensors sparsely to obtain low-cost detector deployment methods on the road network. In this paper, we investigate the relationship between the sparsity of detectors and the perceived accuracy of road traffic flow in urban road networks. Specifically, we remove a portion of the sensors in the road network to obtain a sparse sensor layout. Then, the transformer algorithm is used to estimate the data of the removed virtual sensors from the data of the unremoved actual sensors. In the simulation experiment, we build a classic road network model in the AIMSUN simulation software to recover virtual detector data. The simulation results verify that it is possible to use 35% of the original detector to monitor the traffic condition of the whole urban road network and the estimation accuracy can reach 3 m/s.","PeriodicalId":199421,"journal":{"name":"2022 14th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP)","volume":"os-32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127775177","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper investigates the feasibility and capability of using 5G signal as an illumination source for passive radar target detection. The analysis of the ambiguity function (AF) indicates that the 5G signal has strong clutter suppression ability, as well as high range resolution and velocity resolution, the feasibility of using 5G signal as IOO is fully verified. Based on this, we design a Doppler processing method of moving target indicator (MTI) and moving target detection (MTD) cascade to detect targets. Note that the even-component of frequency domain (FD) received signal suffers from neither inter-sub-band interference nor inter-sub carrier interference while the odd-component suffers from both. A two-stage joint active user detection (AUD) and channel estimation (CE) is proposed. In the first stage, the cross-validation aided block sparsity adaptive subspace pursuit is employed to perform the AUD and CE by utilizing only the even-component. In the second stage, the unreliable estimates by the first-stage are further refined by utilizing additional odd-component. Specifically, a proper reliability metric defined as the second order variation rate of cross validation error is presented. Finally, simulation results are given to demonstrate the performance of the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":199421,"journal":{"name":"2022 14th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134373337","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
