We also derive an EDP-based key-value map, and give an outlook on an EDP-based systemic access control CRDT as formalization of the CRDT used in the Matrix messaging system.","PeriodicalId":198398,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 10th Workshop on Principles and Practice of Consistency for Distributed Data","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122928072","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We describe a novel CRDT operation, for-each on the list of CRDTs, and demonstrate its use in collaborative apps. Our for-each operation applies a given mutation to each element of a list, including elements inserted concurrently. This often preserves user intention in a way that would otherwise require custom CRDT algorithms. We give example applications of our for-each operation to collaborative rich-text, recipe, and slideshow editors.","PeriodicalId":198398,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 10th Workshop on Principles and Practice of Consistency for Distributed Data","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129395399","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
