They represent the economic development model and act as the engine of growth for the same, focusing on high contribution to domestic production, significant export revenues and influential contribution to foreign exchange. Small enterprises have to compete and survive with large enterprises, which is currently one of their biggest problems. One of the reasons for this disadvantage is that small enterprises lack information technology advantages. Mostly, these enterprises fail to use information technology in business operations, severely limiting their performance and survival. Businesses must have the adequate IT infrastructure to give them a competitive advantage. This leads to a mechanism that provides the right information at the right time and place. As the use of IT accelerates in business, rapid implementation of IT enabled services in small businesses is required. Information systems are important applications of information technology in business management. However, there are still problems in the implementation of IT by these small enterprises. This paper attempts to highlight the main factors and advantages in implementing and adopting information technology in small enterprises.","PeriodicalId":197381,"journal":{"name":"IJRDO - Journal of Business Management","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123623544","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The implementation of many policies, such as performance contracts and measurement and evaluation, has not produced the desired outcomes. Therefore, it was necessary to concentrate on alternative approaches to enhance public service delivery, such as the implementation of social accountability measures. By encouraging openness through social accountability initiatives, corruption and bureaucratic inefficiencies are reduced, which enhances the delivery of services. Few studies have examined the link between the acts of social of accountability and delivery of services in Kenya, despite the fact that they are, thought to increase service delivery in the public sector. This study therefore sought to interrogate the effect of transparency-focused social accountability actions on public service delivery in Kakamega County Government Ministries, Kenya. The study was centered on Vance, Lowry, and Eggett's Accountability theory (2015). The research used a descriptive survey research approach. The employees from different ministries, county assembly members, as well as chief officers, who take part in public decision-making processes, made up the target population. A population of 1,904 persons was targeted. Accordingly, using Krejcie and Morgan (1970) table, a sample size of 322 was obtained. To analyse the quantitative data, the researcher employed the Statistical Package for Social Sciences. Content analysis was, used to look at qualitative data. The research instruments’ validity was certified by the experts in the area of study, while reliability of the research instruments was determined by use of Cronbach's alpha coefficient. This was meant to check on the internal consistency of the research instruments. A standardized questionnaire and interviews was used to collect the data, which was then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics and presented using tables. For this investigation, a multivariate regression analysis was, used. The findings revealed that transparency focused (β=.652, p<.05) had a positive significant effect on service delivery and accounted for 41.7%. The employees of Kakamega County may gain from this research because it will allow them to engage in more discussions with the county by engaging in advisory boards, project implementation, and project feasibility analysis, all of which can enhance the county's provision of public services.","PeriodicalId":197381,"journal":{"name":"IJRDO - Journal of Business Management","volume":"108 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131545092","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The impact of this new digital commerce model on the air cargo sector is far-reaching and complex. By understanding how e-commerce affects the business operations of traditional air cargo companies, we can better prepare for its future development. Storage occupies a central role in any Supply Chain. The primary purpose of storage activity is to act as a buffer to adopt to the variability of the flow of production, consolidation of products and to add marginal value such as pricing, labelling or customization. Thus, in this research work the main aim of the researcher is to highlight the impact of E- commerce on Air cargo storage operations, followed by the opportunities and challenges associated with it. This study is based on the review of various literatures related to the topic of study. The study highlights that e commerce is changing the way people consume. The goal of increasing delivery speed while remaining cost effective poses significant new challenges for supply chains as they move on to satisfy the growing and fast-changing demand.","PeriodicalId":197381,"journal":{"name":"IJRDO - Journal of Business Management","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131073699","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Faced with this, Law No. 18/010 of 9 July 2018 amending Law No. 11/011 of 13 July 2011 on public finances in the Democratic Republic of Congo advocates in its explanatory memorandum a budget based on a logic of results through program budgets. The law aims to move from a budget of means to that of a budget of results. This is a performance-oriented management approach, that is, the search for economic effectiveness and efficiency in the use of resources and the achievement of objectives previously defined in the programs. The Gross Domestic Product was as low as 1.2% in the first macroeconomic stability in the period running from 1997 to 2001 and was as high as 7.0% in the second macroeconomic stability in the period running from 2002 to 2007. Data capture was by census technique and checking of secondary material on Kenya National Bureau of Statistics(KNBS), Nairobi Security Exchange(NSE), and Capital Market Authority(CMA), Data analysis and interpretation was through descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The financial indicators of a market-based financial system were characterised as size, activity and efficiency indicators. Stock market capitalization/GDP, private bond market capitalization/GDP, public bond market capitalization/ GDP were size indicators. Stock market total value traded / GDP was activity indicator. Stock market turn- over ratio was efficiency indicator. This study was in relation to literature review which depicts some financial indicators as being counterproductive to each other and in their contribution to GDP per capita. In the first macroeconomic stability (1997-2001), the bank based financial system was79% against 21% of the market based financial system. In the second macroeconomic stability (2002-2007), the bank based financial system was 54% against 46% of the marked based financial system.
