In praxis, passive and active localization systems are being used. Our team has been carrying out research and development of passive optoelectronic range-finding systems (POERFS) for 15 years. In this paper, we provide basic information on the precision/accuracy of multiple POERFS.","PeriodicalId":197313,"journal":{"name":"Engineering Mechanics 2019","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123271797","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The article deals with evaluation of the threepoint bend test of artificial bones with intramedullary femoral nails in accordance with ASTM F1264. Intramedullary nails are used in the femur to treat subtrochanteric fractures, femoral neck fractures or diaphysis fractures. The aim of this article is to evaluate and compare bending tests of two bones with implemented intramedullary nails for two types of case. The first case represents a healed bone fracture and the second case a bone with fracture.","PeriodicalId":197313,"journal":{"name":"Engineering Mechanics 2019","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127866167","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The test object was a hydraulic flexible hose with an internal diameter of 2 mm and a length of 960 mm. The vibrations of the object were driven by the electrodynamic actuator, and they were recorded with a laser vibrometer. At the same time, numerical analysis of such an object was carried out using the finite element method. The results of numerical and experimental studies were compared and the possible causes of discrepancies were pointed out. Such calculations should be accompanied by experimental verification. This work is an attempt of numerical and experimental analysis of vibrations of a microhydraulic hose and determination of the usefulness of a selected numerical method.","PeriodicalId":197313,"journal":{"name":"Engineering Mechanics 2019","volume":"268 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133957183","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The potentials will be constructed with help of our ab-initio electronic calculations code, that relies on the density functional theory and the pseudopotential approach. All of the three main stainless steel groups are considered, namely austenitic, ferritic and duplex. Comprehensive numerical parametric study was conducted by using finite element software Abaqus. Numerical model was validated based on the experimental data. Together 20 experiments were conducted consists of both SHS and RHS specimens. Results of the numerical parametric study provided sufficient amount of data on the basis of which the new interaction factor formulae were developed. The new formulae have no dependency on the material properties and cross-section slenderness and the evaluation of the stainless steel beam-columns design considering the new interaction factor calculation is presented herein.","PeriodicalId":197313,"journal":{"name":"Engineering Mechanics 2019","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125715150","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
