Due to the growing need to support intermittent energy resources with other energy sources like gas turbines, more detailed models including an explicit representation of the physical dynamics are attractive. In this paper, the advantages of the Modelica language and the FMI standard are considered to carry out modeling and multi-domain simulation of gas turbines with power grids, which can be used to evaluate scenarios of power variability.
