There has been the new habit to consume information or news from conventional media to digital media. Conventional media only has two choices. First, it is challenged by technological developments. Then, it is shut down. Second, it joins developments to the improvement by converging into digital media. In fact, a digital media is not enough to get the existence of the media itself. Mobile digital applications are used as media to survive in the media industry these days. “POPULAR Now” is one of the start-up in digital mobile applications that are able to compete in the media industry in Indonesia. This application was launched at the end of 2017. It has been downloaded by more than one hundred thousand users worldwide. This research is a qualitative research through case study research method. “POPULAR Now” is one of the start-up in digital mobile applications that are able to compete in the media industry in Indonesia as adult men’s magazine. It developed from print media to the first digital adult men’s magazine in Indonesia. Thus, it is developed to mobile digital start-up that can be downloaded on smartphone.

As the focus of governments and mobile carriers shift to driving Internet adoption, mobile phones serving as a facilitating condition for traditional and OTT services could have multiple implications. Using conjoint analysis, this paper presents evidence that access to OTT services has a positive impact on mobile phone adoption. In Nigeria, mobile users are significantly more likely to use OTT services than voice/text and are willing to pay more for Internet services, in general, than voice/text.

We study consumers who installed the mobile app after using the app from a PC for several months. We utilize the gradual release of the app on different devices (iPhone, iPad, and Android) to establish a causal relationship conditional on adoption of a mobile app. Consistent with rational inattention models, we find that consumers increase their login frequency, especially during retail peak hours, and cut discretionary spending. Consistent with information-dependent utility models, these effects are stronger among lower-income and high-spending-to-income consumers.

Approximately 1 billion people own a smartphone. This has led to birth of many of the world’s famous mobile phone brands. One of the major brand, emerged in 2010 was Xiaomi. In this paper, background of Xiaomi’s, its marketing strategies, business models have been presented. Also, comparative analysis of marketing strategy of Xiaomi and other manufacturers has been done to understand the reasons for the market success and the exponential growth exhibited by the company. The current state of information available through various platforms has been used to perform the study. It has been inferred that, the primary reason for this exceptional growth has been the product quality at cheaper rate with a focus on customer feedback and requirements. The testimony to this fact is its ever expanding portfolio into various domains such as smart TVs, Speakers, home appliances, personal computers to name a few.

The major challenges faced by the modern digital wireless communication is to satisfy the ever growing demand of high speed reliable communication in multimedia and internet services with extremely limited frequency spectrum and limited power. Also wireless channel suffers from CCI and fading. MIMO is one of the technology is used to achieve the above requirements. The system efficiency reduces due to limited resources and the impairments of the wireless channels like noise and ISI these can be compensated by using equalization techniques. In this work the performance improvement of the MIMO system can be accomplished by using OSTBC, ML detector and MRC techniques. BER analysis is done under Rayleigh fading channel using BPSK modulation. Simulation results shows that ML equalizer with OSTBC using BPSK gives better performance.

With the aid of these devices, students learn faster outside the classroom by having quick access to the internet and easy retrieval of required health related learning resources to keep alongside of recent trend and development. In medicine practice one has to continuously update his/her medical knowledge and mobile learning will serve as a tool for self-directed learning.\u0000\u0000\u0000AIM\u0000To explore the attitudes and perceptions of undergraduate students towards M-learning.\u0000\u0000\u0000MATERIALS AND METHODS\u0000This educational research included 90 third year MBBS students having clinical posting under the Department of Community Medicine from tertiary healthcare institute in Nashik. Students learning approach was studied with the help of pre-validated questionnaire to know whether they have deep or surface approach to learning. M-learning group was formed on mobile social app to supplement conventional teaching-learning. One subject topic (Tuberculosis, Dengue fever/DHF, Hypertension and Diabetes Mellitus etc.) per week was allotted and after conventional teaching on first day of week the learning materials for the topic chosen for that week were uploaded on the group and students could download as well as share their ideas, learning resources, ask doubts and answer questions at least twice weekly through this mobile platform anytime, anywhere. At the end of three months students attitudes and perceptions towards M-learning were studied by pre-validated structured questionnaires. A five point Likert scale was used (5= strongly agree to 1= strongly disagree) for answering each item of all three questionnaires. The score of 60% (90 out of 150) and the score of 75% (30 out of 40) for each item was considered as the measure that indicates whether or not the student had a positive attitude and perceived the importance of M-learning respectively. Utilisation of M-learning was also studied.\u0000\u0000\u0000RESULTS\u0000It was found that 47 (52.2%) students had deep learning approach, 10 (11.1%) students had surface learning approach. An 80% of students had positive attitude towards M-learning and 76.7% students had perceived the importance of M-learning. A 52.2% of students were actively involved in M-learning group for learning purpose. But 57.8% students did not download (at least twice weekly) the shared reference material, 38.9% students never read and/or replied to the questions asked and 60.0% students never asked any doubts/questions related to the discussion.\u0000\u0000\u0000CONCLUSION\u0000Students had positive attitude and perceived the importance of M-learning. But when they were provided with the opportunity, they did not show appreciable M-learning utilization. This could be because, M-learning was not implemented by all departments; also it was not the part of student's regular assessment and probably a lesser study duration.
