Ash-Shabuni's idea of pluralism is interesting because it is based on the interpretation of the verses of war. The study of war verses has implications for shaping the ethics that must be enforced in the most extreme forms of interaction, war. The reconstruction of Ash-Shabuni 's pluralism idea was designed in qualitative research with an analytical descriptive type. While the approach used is semantic content-analysis, because the data is in the form of a tafsir book. As a sample, interpretations of surah al-Baqarah verses 190-195 were taken will which is discussed the provisions of war, and verses 216-218 with the theme of the law of war in the haram months. Based on semantic content analysis, it can be concluded that basically, Islamic teachings invite acceptance of non-Muslims. The warfare that is allowed in Islam is as a defense method against agreements that are violated by non-Muslims, defending the land of haram (as the land of birth), defense of the haram months as a form of respect for tradition, the war for defending Allah's religion, and war because it avoids slander in the form of coercing infidels so that Muslims apostatize.","PeriodicalId":193766,"journal":{"name":"Santri: Journal of Pesantren and Fiqh Sosial","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127472034","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The santri community that is very identical to NU has contributed to Indonesia's development. When viewed from history, Santri were actively involved in Indonesian politics. The contribution of the santri is seen in various strategic positions of the country. The purpose of this study was to determine the attitude of the santri identity in political moments. This study uses a case study method to determine the process and central dynamics of santri in political activity. Semi-structured interviews were used to determine the identity construction of two subjects who had different backgrounds, but both were NU members who were raised in the santri tradition. The results showed that the santri's attitude did not have a particular patron/command and was amoeba/spread in various positions. Santri builds a unique identity as pride and has more value than other groups. Another result shows that political activity is considered an activity in worship.","PeriodicalId":193766,"journal":{"name":"Santri: Journal of Pesantren and Fiqh Sosial","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129375964","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is very important to do this research. The research used the qualitative method. I conducted this research through a literature study by exploring Kiai Sahal's writings as a primary source and analyzing them by collaborating with observations on social movements that he had carried out during his life. The results of the analysis and observations become the main ingredients in building a fiqh sosial methodology. Next is combining the data with fiqh methodology and social knowledge, sciences, technology, and other modern sciences. That is important because fiqh sosial must be able to produce the Islamic law that can able to realize the benefit of mankind and contextual wherever and whenever it be. Since the ideas of fiqh sosial have been published by Kiai Sahal, a lot of researchers and academics have written the theme. But of all the writings that already exist, almost no one has written about its methodology. If found, it is still very shallow and inadequate.","PeriodicalId":193766,"journal":{"name":"Santri: Journal of Pesantren and Fiqh Sosial","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125935150","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
