Unlike most of the existing holter monitors that are composed of conventional electrodes and multiple cables, the ECG monitoring system proposed here consists of intelligent electrodes and one single Active-Cable. A prototype of a wearable ECG monitoring system is developed and implemented on Xilinx FPGAs. TeleOph aims to mimic face-to-face consultation over public Internet network. It automatically connects still cameras and video cameras, and takes samples of pictures and videos respectively for remote consultation. Additionally, TeleOph employs a shared electronic white-board to enable an ophthalmologist to handle (e.g. change, highlight, zoom out/in) images, as well as control (e.g., play, pause, stop) video streams in both hospital and clinic in a synchronized manner. In this paper, we propose healthcare service recommendation framework (HSRF) that considers health status and various contexts of each user. HSRF arranges healthcare services based on medical similarities between user and services. However this incurs additional energy cost, which is dominated by the energy arising from sensor node mobility, which we term mobility energy. Based on our analysis, we propose a mobility algorithm for the mobile node to follow the target depending on separation distance, and we analyze the achievable tracking accuracy with corresponding mobility energy cost. From simulations, we observe the effect of varying mobility parameter pm on tracking accuracy and mobility energy. This paper gives a survey of fall detection for elderly and patient, focusing on identifying approaches and principles of the existing fall detection methods. To properly build the classification tree of the methods of fall detection we first study the characteristics of fall. Then according to what sensors and how sensors are used we first divide the methods of fall detection into three approaches: wearable device, ambience device, and camera-based. Further we divide each approach into two to three classes according to the used principles. For each class of algorithm we analyze their merits and demerits. The incidence of cancer can be reduced if the people are aware of cancer and its root causes. Introduction of Telemedicine in Oncology is playing a vital role nowadays. Telemedicine helps in prevention, early detection, fast curing, palliative care, rehabilitation of cancer and public awareness also. Of these three pillars, the healthcare gateway plays the intermediary role. The system also adopts the open services gateway initiative (OSGi) platform, which can offer dynamically adjusted healthcare service programs for individual patients. In addition, ZigBee-built in wireless modules are used in the transmission of information between vital sign monitoring devices and the healthcare gateway. Vital sign data parameters, including ECG, SPO2, blood pressure, glucose and body temperature, can be transmitted to the healthcare gateway via ZigBee and then are relayed through the Internet to the health services information platform. This integrated healthcare system is based on the Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) concept, providing a system that enables the healthcare management for individuals.
