Avulsion fractures are generally due to forced inversion and plantar flexion of the foot\u0000and are associated with ligament tears. More are impaction fractures, i.e. nutcracker fractures, are commonly described as\u0000due to a forced eversion and abduction of the foot with compression forcing the anterior process of the calcaneus against\u0000the cuboid. Clinical features are subtle and X-ray examination for the diagnosis of anterior calcaneal process fracture is\u0000challenging. A CT examination can reveal the fracture and should be performed whenever a doubt exists for correct diagnosis.\u0000Here we present the unique clinical case of a 44ys old female patient who suffered an isolated compression fracture of the anterior calcaneal process due to a fall from a stair with forced foot eversion and low energy trauma mechanism. The patient\u0000healed uneventfully with a conservative treatment. A more comprehensive classification of this spectrum injury is sought as\u0000many different fracture or combined bone-ligamentous lesions exist requiring different surgical or non surgical management.\u0000Actually, no clear guidelines exist in literature assisting the treating physician in the management of such challenging lesions.

These tumors are rarely seen in males as well\u0000as the upper extremities. A 49-year-old patient presented with a painful, fluctuant right elbow mass after a 5-6-year\u0000latency. In this case, aspiration as well as corticosteroid injection did not diminish mass size or pain caused by it.\u0000After exhausting conservative management, the patient opted for surgical excision, debridement, and histopathological\u0000analysis for diagnosis and showed the hallmark variable veins within muscular walls. Current standard of care consists\u0000of surgical resection and subsequent postoperative observation for local recurrence. Due to its rarity in location and\u0000non-specific findings, diagnosis is often unclear. In the context of existing literature, the optimal treatment for these\u0000patients should be determined on a case-by-case basis.

These collagenous bundles are typically\u0000seen as hypopigmented, superficial skin lesions along the trunk and the upper limbs. We report a case in which a 31-year-old\u0000patient presented with a disproportionate growth of scar tissue in the knee joint after having almost non-existent flexion and\u0000continued pain for 3 months after ACL reconstruction despite aggressive rehabilitation with formal therapy. In this case,\u0000there was no organic cause of tissue overgrowth or reason to expect such a drastic change in the joint space so soon after\u0000surgery. Histopathology of tissue from the left knee showed dense fibroconnective tissue with myxoid change and granulation\u0000tissue. The overgrowth was diagnosed as a form of collagen disorder with increased amounts of irregularly arranged dense\u0000fascicular bundles of collagen which are similarly seen in familial cutaneous collagenoma. To the best of our knowledge,\u0000our case is the first reported case of post-traumatic arthrofibrosis in a patient with familial cutaneous collagenoma (FCC)\u0000in American literature.

OA is a chronic disorder characterized by joint pain and inflammation, increasing physical disability and continuous cartilage degeneration. The changes of lubricating properties of synovial fluid lead to significant pain and loss of function. One of the strategies uses the high molecular weight molecule hyaluronic acid as either an injectable treatment. The injection of hyaluronic acid in the joints, improves the biochemical properties of synovial fluid into osteoarthritis of knee joints. The clinical effect is pain relief and disease modifying activity. Hyaluronic acid is a relatively new treatment that has shown varied results through several clinical trials. It can be used as a scaffold for engineering new treatments and several new preparations have been just added to the markets.
