The array is designed to radiate a bipolar voltage pulse with a duration of 1 ns. In the transmission mode, the change in the effective potential and the ellipticity ratio of radiation along the array axis is studied, when a part of the elements is rotated around its axis at arbitrary angles. The possibility of adjusting the ellipticity ratio of radiation along the array axis within a wide range is shown. The phenomenon of decreasing of effective potential of the array radiation in the direction of the main maximum due to the mutual influence of elements was found. The reflection coefficients from a single helical antenna and an array element were studied in the frequency domain.","PeriodicalId":190249,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Congress on Energy Fluxes and Radiation Effects (EFRE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128128906","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The formation of plasma on the surface of lead-coated and ceramic-coated electrodes was studied using shadow frame and streak photography. The linear current density was of the order of 1–3 MA/cm with a rise time of 100 ns. It is necessary to underline that the experiment was conducted in the absence of a source of powerful x-ray radiation. Numerical calculations were performed to simulate the processes that occur in a thick-walled tube when a current with a high linear density is passed through it. The results of numerical modeling of parameter evolution in such a linear density of 3MA/cm for steel cylindrical conductor with diameter of d = 3mm and a wall thickness of 0.5 mm covered by lead foil is in good agreement with experiment.","PeriodicalId":190249,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Congress on Energy Fluxes and Radiation Effects (EFRE)","volume":"13 4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126014757","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main direction of activity is to provide the nanosecond device triggering with a low jitter in the delay time. For some samples of the devices, it has been revealed that the auxiliary discharge from pulse to pulse can develop both inside the cavities of the trigger unit, which corresponds to the correct regime of operation, and over a long path when current flows from the outer surface of the trigger electrode. This results in changing the delay time to triggering the thyratron from pulse to pulse. The upgraded device with the novel trigger unit has been developed where the effect is suppressed.","PeriodicalId":190249,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Congress on Energy Fluxes and Radiation Effects (EFRE)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122269927","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Mixed mononitride (MN) with the addition of uranium nanopowder can be considered to be the most preferred fuel for the fast reactor. The following fuels are of interest for thermal neutron reactors: UO2.1, UN, U2N3, U3Si2with the addition of nanopowder of slightly enriched uranium or Be (BeO). Ceramic fuel containing depleted uranium with nano-additives of metallic uranium can be used in the blanket of a thermonuclear reactor. As a neutron multiplier in blanket, the long-lived minor actinides (237Np, 241 Am and 243 Am) can be used. There is a radioactive waste of nuclear reactors. Liquid lead and (or) its alloys have a number of advantages when cooling the core of a fast reactor or blanket of a thermonuclear reactor. The use of tungsten coatings of structural materials (stainless steel) contributes to solving the problem of corrosion and erosion in liquid lead. All innovations can be implemented within the framework of existing technologies.","PeriodicalId":190249,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Congress on Energy Fluxes and Radiation Effects (EFRE)","volume":"12 19","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"113963048","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is shown that the modern method of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS), which is also called combustion Synthesis, is more cost-effective and attractive for producing a powder composition of AlN-SiC, compared to other traditional more complex and energy-intensive methods. The well-known varieties of using the SHS method for obtaining AlN-SiC, their advantages and disadvantages are listed. The possibility of preparation of ceramic nitride-carbide powder composition AlN–SiC by the method of azide SHS during the combustion of powders mixtures of Al, Si, C, sodium azide NaN3and halide salt (NH4)2SiF6is studied using a thermodynamic calculation and an experimental study of the temperature and composition of combustion products.","PeriodicalId":190249,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Congress on Energy Fluxes and Radiation Effects (EFRE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130206574","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

YAG:Nd3+ laser ($lambda=1064 mathrm{nm}, tau_{mathrm{i}}=14 mathrm{ns}$) was used as a source of initiation. The basic elements of the data-acquisition equipment were a polychromator and a streak camera. They were used for a luminescence spectrum scanning in time. Under the influence of a laser impulse, one was recorded the luminescence with its intensity falling down in time of ∼ 60 ns. The state of a maximum of the luminescence spectrum scanning depends on the energy density of a laser radiation $H$. At increasing $H$, the state of a maximum migrates from the visible to the ultraviolet area up to the value $lambda=420 mathrm{nm}$. This luminescence is connected with the NO2. radicals which are formed during the influence of a laser impulse and variously excited. The luminescence of products of an explosion is observed in a microsecond time interval and has the thermal nature. The luminescence temperature is $T=3500 mathrm{K}$.","PeriodicalId":190249,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Congress on Energy Fluxes and Radiation Effects (EFRE)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134235302","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Especially, the influence of the anode activity (various high-current anode modes) on the properties of vacuum arc plasma has been studied. The vacuum arcs have been investigated under typical switching conditions - ignition by CuCr contact separation during the AC current flow at several kA magnitude. High-speed cinematography was used for observation of arc dynamics and characterization of the anode activity. Optical emission spectroscopy (imaging, high-speed) has been applied for determination of temporal dynamics of copper spectral lines from various plasma species – atoms, ions and electrons during the active phase, as well as for determination of plasma temperature. Several methods have been used for quantitative characterization of the anode surface temperature: NIR spectroscopy and high-speed camera techniques enhanced by narrow-band filters. Broad band absorption spectroscopy is a suitable technique for determination of the vapour density close to the current zero crossing and in the early post-arc phase. The corresponding values for the Cr ground state density are presented.","PeriodicalId":190249,"journal":{"name":"2020 7th International Congress on Energy Fluxes and Radiation Effects (EFRE)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132180075","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
