These people face mobility difficulties which impact their quality of life. We propose a system that will assist the visually impaired with their indoor environment mobility. It uses the information from preregistered AR (Augmented Reality) markers to identify specific accessible facilities, such as hallways, restrooms, staircases, and offices. An RGB-D sensor (a sensor that provides color and depth information of every pixel) captures the scene which includes the AR markers. This scene-based information is processed by a neural network to recognize and localize obstacles and accessible facilities. We present the processing algorithm for image and depth profiling. This is a process that often involves tight coupling between hardware, interface, and algorithmic adaptation. This paper discusses the design and implementation of a plant/process simulator on an integrated mbed LPC1768 based microcontroller platform. Unlike simulators such as MATLAB, Scilab, Scicos, Ecosim Pro, Virtual Control Simulator, etc. that are installed on a computer, the simulator is implemented on a portable, low-cost embedded microcontroller. The method of simulation is convolution via FFT/IFFT using the Radix-2 DIT Cooley-Tukey algorithm. Our implementation is verified using both step and sinusoidal inputs. General Purpose computing on Graphics Processor Units (GPGPU) brings massively parallel computing (hundreds of compute cores) to the desktop at a reasonable cost, but requires that algorithms be carefully designed to take advantage of this power. The present work explores the possibilities of using GPU's along with CUDA Streams to improve the performance of a string matching algorithm. String matching plays an important role in today's computer applications. Strings are an integral part of almost every data structure we manage. Boyer-Moore and Knuth-Morris-Pratt algorithms are the most famous string matching algorithms that have been proved efficient to some extent using CPU's and GPU's. Sunday string matching algorithm is another version of Boyer-Moore algorithm. In this paper, we have used GPU's to accelerate the performance of the Sunday string matching algorithm. We have conducted experiments to measure the performance of the GPU implementation with respect to the serial CPU implementation. One of the problems has been identifying internal specifications of DC motor such as Torque constant, back-emf constant, viscous friction constant, internal resistance and inductance. These parameters are needed for modelling the system of a DC motor. Unfortunately, those are not specified in most commercially manufactured DC motor's data sheet. Most popular controlling methods available are PID controller, Adaptive controller or intelligent controller in some cases. Proposed experiment disregards all these problems and methods mentioned above to build a very simple, effective and cheap cruise controller of a DC motor. This experiment divided into two key parts; first phase focuses on a simple IR sensor tachometer designing in microcontroller (LPC1768 ARM) platform which performs DAC (digital to analog conversion) in essence. Tachometer's RPM reading gives the feedback into controller function to compare against the desired RPM set by the user until they align on the same line. A SIMULINK diagram has been implemented in ARDUINO Mega for the cruise control which contains controller function. The main objective of this paper is to study the impact of environmental factors on the concrete bridge deck deterioration. National bridge condition from over 25 years of data were analyzed to determine the impact of environmental factors on concrete decks. The U.S. map was divided into six different climatic regions that were used as the basis for the environmental impact study. The algorithm tracks the target plant in the foreground from a set of seeding points automatically located on the main vine. The location of the seeding pints is determined in two different ways using the Hough transform and template searching. Test images are captured inside a greenhouse and include a huge amount of clutter from adjacent plants. The clutter creates a complex environment for traditional segmentation techniques to detect branches of the plant in the foreground. Images are normalized to speed the execution time of the DRLSE and protect the algorithm from local minima traps. Results demonstrate the capability of the algorithm in detecting the main vine and major branches. Cross Document Messaging, Local Storage, Attribute Abuse, Input Validation, Inline Multimedia and SVG emerge as likely targets for serious threats. Introduction of various new tags and attributes can be potentially manipulated to exploit the data on a dynamic website. The XSS attack manages to retain a spot in all the OWASP Top 10 security risks released over the past decade and placed in the seventh spot in OWASP Top 10 of 2017. It is known that XSS attempts to execute scripts with untrusted data without proper validation between websites. XSS executes scripts in the victim's browser which can hijack user sessions, deface websites, or redirect the user to the malicious site. This paper focuses on the development of a browser extension for the popular Google Chromium browser that keeps track of various attack vectors. These vectors primarily include tags and attributes of HTML 5 that may be used maliciously. The proposed design is analyzed for distinct ground planes which demonstrate negligible effect on gain and S-parameters. For increased reliability of activity classification, it is important to classify transitions accurately. This study presents a set of activity recognition algorithm based on decision trees with ensemble approach while autonomously deals with the transition values necessary to separate from normal activity data in the real-time environment. For this purpose, we have used Mobile Health (mHealth) open-access dataset from the UCI Machine Learning Repository. In this study, we investigate ensemble method bagging tree algorithm with the leave-one-subject-out approach to determine the best technique to deal with the null values while detecting regular activities of interest for a fully-automated system. We have also focused on the usage of minimum data and sensors for allowing real-time applications. The data were collected from accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer located on chest, right-lower arm and left ankle. We have measured the sensitivity and specificity to determine the efficacy of our approach. Based on all of the performance metrics, Bagged trees, an ensemble method, has performed better than previously reported algorithm and needed fewer data and fewer sensors. Our approach has a weighted sensitivity of 95.2% and a weighted specificity of 94.9%.
