Emotions rather than rationality determine the aggressive behavior of the human species on this Earth. We react to the symptoms but neglect to study the causes of violence, terrorism and wars. It all boils down to a universal struggle for power and celestial glory. A systems approach is proposed to investigate global society as a system of interrelated and interacting subsystems that are governed by brainless action and reaction. Potential scenarios range from total catastrophe to the provision of a better understanding of how networks of networks function - for example, how the circulatory system, the respiratory system and the musculoskeletal system might interact with one another in combatting disease.
