In this paper, a comprehensive method is proposed to analyze and implement crucial primitive shape extraction including line, plane, cylinder and sphere. Linear shape is extracted by the proposed alpha-shape based method, and an algorithm that robustly computes the boundary of holes from incomplete objects is presented. The plane primitive shape is extracted by analyzing neighboring point distribution and the parameters that define the primitive shape. Reasonable primitive shape features is extracted accurately for further shape modeling. Experimental results demonstrate that our method could deal with different objects efficiently in different shapes.","PeriodicalId":187934,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Virtual Reality and Visualization (ICVRV)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130885872","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The need to monitor and keep records of the operation of these networks motivates us to develop and implement a tool that allows not only monitoring the network but also using the data circulating in it to provide useful information to a community, either about the conditions of the environment, climate or other type of information that can be captured through sensors. This paper proposes a way to implement a visualization tool and shows the experiments performed over a wireless Ad-hoc network using temperature and humidity sensors.","PeriodicalId":187934,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Virtual Reality and Visualization (ICVRV)","volume":"573 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125918470","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper proposes a lightweight and intelligent solution for popular fire evacuation. Firstly, lightweighting the scenario objects; secondly, lightweighting the collision detection of avatars; thirdly, lightweighting the optimal path planning for real-time evacuation. At last, a lightweight evacuation system is created with fire flattering the Mobile-WebVR (Lightweighting Fire Evacuation system, LFE system). The system uses the real data (the static scenario metro station BIM data, and the dynamic smoke data). The object data are reduced to 0.3%; 220 avatars as agents take part the fire evacuation on Mobile-Web showing the FPS value is 26; the heuristic ACO (Ant Colony Optimization) is used in the virtual reality metro station for each agent to plane path, and the LFE path planning is real-time and an effective solution.","PeriodicalId":187934,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Virtual Reality and Visualization (ICVRV)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129921052","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Currently, most hair simulation techniques require a lot of computation time, or rely on complex capture settings. Editing and reusing of existing hair model data are very important topics in computer graphics. In this paper, we present a spatialtemporal editing technique for dynamic hair data. This method can generate a longer or even infinite length sequence of hair motion according to its motion trend from a short input. Firstly, we build spatial-temporal neighborhood information about input hair data. We then initialize the output according to the input exemplar and output constraints, and optimize the output through iterative search and assignment steps. To make the method be more efficient, we select a sparse part of the hair as the guide hair to simplify the model, and interpolate a full set of hair after the synthesis. Results show that our method can deal with a variety of hairstyles and different way of motions.","PeriodicalId":187934,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Virtual Reality and Visualization (ICVRV)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123119730","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It aims to generate illusions from seamless fusion of virtual objects and real world. Typical AR system requires two basic parts: three-dimensional registration and real-virtual fusion. Occlusion handling is crucial for visual realism. To optimize visual realism, we generated a real-time systematic architecture to operate occlusion handling. The architecture is based on RGBD images, and it consists of three parts: real-time camera tracking system, 3D reconstruction system and AR fusion system. Specifically, we used a two-pass scheme strategy to execute the AR system. The first pass tracks camera poses timely at video rate, which allows the reconstruction results be updated and visualized correspondingly during the scanning. The second pass takes place simultaneously to handle occlusion between virtual objects and real scene according to camera pose. Finally, the render results of virtual objects and the color images are fused to generate AR contents. Our results indicate that this method is stable and precise for occlusion handling, and can effectively improve realism in AR system.","PeriodicalId":187934,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Virtual Reality and Visualization (ICVRV)","volume":"140 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124438130","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we propose a novel multi-person virtual rehearsal system based on passive optical motion capture technology. A new fast location algorithm for human motion gesture is presented, which combines the traditional forward kinematic algorithm with the location tracking algorithm of markers, and uses noise elimination filter method and Euclidean distance to stability and evaluation of markers data. The experimental result shows that this system, focusing on the interaction of actors and scenes, lights, cameras, etc, could realize the shooting test and scene rehearsal of VR films well with high capture precision, tracking stability and real-time performance, and improving the efficiency and quality of VR films greatly.","PeriodicalId":187934,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Virtual Reality and Visualization (ICVRV)","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133672813","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the research on lightweight of shell models is rare, and most limited in topological changes. This paper proposes a topology and shape preserved lightweight framework of shell models that consists of model analysis, lightweight modeling and analysis, and 3D printing and practical validation in an optimum iterative procedure. Specifically, firstly, both geometric features and empirical features are introduced to construct a frame structure. Secondly, a heat diffusion is exploited to simulate the stress distribution due to two reasons, one is that they have the similar physical transmissibility, the other is that the heat diffusion is smooth, and it guarantees that the thickness variation is smooth and natural without restriction on the degrees of freedom. Then, a local iteration consists of local heat simulation and stress analysis is utilized to further improve the efficiency. Finally, we use 3D printer to manufacture testing models, and apply them to practical verification and feedback. Our extensive experiments have exhibited many attractive properties, including the flexibility and freedom of the thickness variation, the effectiveness and credibility of the lightweight.","PeriodicalId":187934,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Virtual Reality and Visualization (ICVRV)","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132480754","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The lack of appropriate feature will make it difficult to find another corresponding pixel also have no feature. The fractional differential-based approach for image filtering have the capability of nonlinearly enhancing complex texture details obvious better than by traditional integral-based algorithms. In this article, the cost aggregation consists of two pieces: the weighted guided image filtering for color-scale; the image after fractional differential filtering as the guidance image used to guided image filtering (GIF) for grayscale. The aggregated values of two scales will represent the edge and weak texture area, respectively. Finally, a disparity refinement measure based on fast weighted median filtering is applied in this paper too. Performance evaluation on Middlebury data sets shows that the proposed algorithm can obtain high-quality, especially in weak texture region. It's an attractive stereo matching solution in practice for both speed and accuracy.","PeriodicalId":187934,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Virtual Reality and Visualization (ICVRV)","volume":"245 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132873073","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Different forms conclude different information. For studying the effection of frequency in the coupled signals to fault diagnosis, the differential method to the three order cumulants of coupled signals is adopted. By using the differential of complex three order cumulants before and after respectively, then their 1 1/2 dimensional spectrum calculated, and the results are used to fault diagnosis.
