Understanding the prevalence of such a disease is crucial for management teams. Seasonality may be a salient feature of data series provided by medical units, that is why the use of an innovative tool for seasonal adjustment is needed. For this paper, the data series (number of persons examined for rabies, by age and residency) were provided by one single health care unit – The National Institute of Infectious Diseases “Matei Bals”. Methodologically, the graphs of both series were analyzed in order to indicate the type of transformation needed: seasonality test and outlier detection. When seasonality is detected, the data series were seasonally adjusted using JDemetra+ 2.2.2, a software recommended by Eurostat, which incorporates TRAMO-SEATS and X13 procedure specifications. Following the Hungarian Central Statistics Office’s guidelines (2007), if the seasonal variation is not changing along with the trend, then no transformation is needed; however, if the seasonal variation is changing along with the trend, a log-transformation is necessary. The results of the analysis show that all the series display clear seasonal patterns and that should be log-transformed prior to seasonal adjustment. The only series that displayed outliers is the number of persons examined for rabies from Bucharest. JDemetra+ offers not only seasonality tests and an automatic procedure for seasonal adjustment, but also a very useful tool for policy makers; the outlier detection tool, which could be used to evaluate different policies in time.","PeriodicalId":187676,"journal":{"name":"Communications of the IBIMA","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130411750","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With this dynamic, companies are rushing towards the development of their strategic decision system which must be powerful to follow any material (product and service) or immaterial resource (belief, knowledge, know-how) coming from one of the direct competitors. In this context, a conceptual study is carried out with the objective to analyze the evolution of cognition-based competition using artificial intelligence (AI) technology as a support for strategic decision-making; this is in order to transform the competition into an intelligent mode. The finding is presented in an intelligent approach designed to generate automatic competition rules based on deep learning techniques.","PeriodicalId":187676,"journal":{"name":"Communications of the IBIMA","volume":"106 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115745906","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By the way of organization, the activity of public feeding acquires a special importance in transforming the way of life of the people, offering multiple possibilities of use of the free time. The food services are an integral part of the tourist services. Also, as an economic business, the food services are permanently associated with tourism activities, and their dynamics are significantly influenced by the evolution of the tourist circulation. Considering the culinary technology at the European level, one can reach the conclusion that within it, there are significant changes in the assortments of the commercialized products, which are finally leading to the diversification of the interdependencies with other sectors of activity. The catering operators must face the new challenges generated by the leap forward of science and technology both at the European and the global level. In order to know the dynamism and the changes made at the European level, within the activity of food services, the authors tried to characterize it by using elementary statistical methods (the graphical method) and analytical methods (the regression and correlation method). In the analysis, the data used were those provided by Eurostat, and their processing was performed by the Excel and EViews software packages. The results of the study highlighted the fact that the workforce from the tourist activity out of which the food services are also a part, has a strong influence on the catering services at the European level as well as on the tourist reception structures.","PeriodicalId":187676,"journal":{"name":"Communications of the IBIMA","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134032165","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Pervasive computing assists us in our everyday activities, operating invisibly in the background, regardless of our location or devices. Therefore, ubiquitous computing requires discovering new Human-Computer Interaction methods helping users to easily interact with ubiquitous systems whatever is the perceived context situation. However, designing context-aware applications that are able to adapt to context instability is a recurring problem that requires special attention from researchers in the HCI community. On the one hand, it is not trivial for a designer to specify how UIs should adapt, and on the other hand it is very hard to predict the context of use changes and accordingly to construct adaptive UIs that match users expectations. In this paper, we present a Model Driving Engineering (MDE) technique to design UIs that automatically adapt to the perceived context situation while the designer and eventually the end user still have full control over the adaptation during runtime. This technique is supported by a conceptual framework and a graphical tool that lower the threshold for designers as well as developers to design adaptive user interfaces, modelize context situations, edit adaptation rules and manage the adaptation process.","PeriodicalId":187676,"journal":{"name":"Communications of the IBIMA","volume":"77 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124718406","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
