Laser diot mini machines using power source 10W is used for the experimental investigation process. The main parameters in the experimental wood surface laser engraving include such as: laser power (P), engraving speed (S), number of engraving lines per 1mm (L) and engraving head focal height (H). The surface geometrical dimensions while engraving, the engraving width (B) and the engraving depth (D) are main factors to determine the performance of engraving lines and the aesthetics of the product. The experiments were designed by the Taguchi L25 orthogonal array to analyze and obtain the important parameters. Then, to evaluate the optimal combination of parameters in the laser engraving process. The research results show that the influence of the factors P, S takes the leading role. Beside the two parameters L and H have a small influence on wood carving products. The optimization results prove that the combination of above factors at the correct values will give the most optimal set of parameters while maximizing the engraving depth (D) and minimizing the engraving width (B).","PeriodicalId":18723,"journal":{"name":"MM Science Journal","volume":"91 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135547430","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The plasma ion mean kinetic energy and density were estimated from the time-of-flight distributions measured using a Langmuir planar probe. It has been found that the mean kinetic energy decreases with increasing the laser pulse energy. This unusual effect is explained by the difference in the volatility of the vaporized species. Samples were structurally characterized by Raman spectroscopy and grazing angle X-ray diffraction. It was found that thin films of amorphous matrices containing MoS2 nanocrystallites were grown. Optical characterization carried out by UV-vis spectroscopy yielded transmittance values above 90% in the visible spectral range and an indirect electronic transition at 1.4 eV. Chemical oxidation states for molybdenum and sulfur were analyzed by means of X-ray photoelectron emission spectroscopy, which revealed Mo-S bonding states, confirming the growth of MoS2.","PeriodicalId":18723,"journal":{"name":"MM Science Journal","volume":"159 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136169699","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study investigates the effects of different production strategies on three types of ceramic materials: experimental ceramic composite fiber (e.c.c.f.)(composite material produced by STU FCHPT), Zirconium Silicate, and White Zirconia. The primary objective is to compare the production times of the different strategies and investigate their effects on the properties of the samples. This research is important because production time is a crucial factor in the manufacturing industry, and minimizing production time without compromising quality is essential. The study aims to explore the impact of various production strategies on the production time and properties of the test samples, such as hardness, porosity, and flexural strength. The experimental procedure involves printing test samples using a MakerBot METHOD X 3D Printer with FDM technology and varying the layer thickness, raster angle, infill density, and other production strategies. The study aims to identify the optimal production strategy for each ceramic material, which can significantly reduce production time while maintaining the desired quality of the parts. Overall, the research provides valuable insights into the optimal production strategies for different types of ceramic materials and contributes to the development of novel, cost-effective, and efficient manufacturing processes for ceramic composites.","PeriodicalId":18723,"journal":{"name":"MM Science Journal","volume":"126 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136169421","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To this end, this study aims to investigate the causal effect of economic growth and development finance on energy consumption with a focus on middle-income countries over the period of 1994-2014. Our empirical highlights unidirectional causality running from economic growth to total energy consumption; unidirectional causality running from financial development to total energy consumption; unidirectional causality running from renewable energy consumption to financial development; and unidirectional causality running from non-renewable energy consumption to economic growth. Based on the empirical findings, the article proposes some innovative solutions for effective energy management in smart cities towards sustainable development, harmonizing economic development and energy consumption.","PeriodicalId":18723,"journal":{"name":"MM Science Journal","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136170150","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This article, therefore, deals with the effective management of powdered waste material (PA 12), which is no longer usable for additive technologies. Throughout recycling process, the material was modified and optimised for injection moulding technology, and transformed into pellets in the next step. The resulting thermoplastic material has a wide application potential, especially with regard to its very good mechanical and physical properties, which are evaluated in this contribution. The advantages of the resulting polymer are based, among other things, on the economic aspect, whereby a material with the nature of a structural plastic will be more available compared to plastics from an analogous category.","PeriodicalId":18723,"journal":{"name":"MM Science Journal","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136170162","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The University of Southern Denmark is also dealing with this, and from the point of view of sustainable development, drinking watercoolers are being investigated using the Life Cycle Assessment method. This research conducts a Life Cycle Impact Assessment of drinking water supply systems at a university to determine if they fit the institution's sustainability agenda. In the evaluation, the impact of one beverage delivered from watercoolers is compared with beverages from five benchmarked systems. These systems are tap water, ice-chilled water, bottled water, soft drinks and hot drinks. They are set up in scenarios that are directly used for evaluation and subsequent comparison. This study uses a variant of “Cradle-To-Grave” Life Cycle Assessment, where a full assessment occurs from resource extraction to disposal, while using an attributive approach. The results of the life cycle assessment showed which system has the lowest impact and the results are quantified. Finally, based on the results of the life cycle assessment, the most suitable water chiller system is recommended and the University management is provided with information for further decision making.","PeriodicalId":18723,"journal":{"name":"MM Science Journal","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136170354","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This can be explained by the massive advantages of AM including mass customisation, less material wastage and ability to create prototypes. However, in order to make use of the AM process, firms, developers and designers require a virtual sharing platform, which can be used to trade designs and make the whole industry better off. This desire requires ways to protect the models and designs from digital thieves. Moreover, internal transactions of designs inside a single firm also require a significant level of security. So, this paper offers different ways of protecting both physical models and virtual designs. The solutions in this paper can be used to ensure the integrity of the physical products and virtual designs during different kinds of transactions.","PeriodicalId":18723,"journal":{"name":"MM Science Journal","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136169686","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
