In the present work, we disclose that high microstructural heterogeneity fabricated in high energy glass could obviously enhance the macroscopic tensile plasticity of BMGs. Such a unique structure can promote the lower formation energy and the dificulty to propagate shear bands, resulting in detectable yielding and certain tensile plasticity. This work may widen the pathway to overcoming the brittleness and is believed to aid in structural application of BMGs greatly. Dissimilar joints of AISI 304 and Monel 400 are widely used in the marine and offshore environments, oil and gasification plants. These welding processes are carried out using three filler wires, namely E309L, ENiCu-7 and ENiCrFe-3. Microstructure examination is carried out on these dissimilar weldments. In addition, a comparative analysis on the microhardness, tensile test values on these welds using the above-said filler materials is also discussed. The weldments obtained from ENiCu-7 and ENiCrFe-3 filler wires offer high strength and ductility. These studies would be useful for the fabricators implementing these dissimilar weldments in the offshore applications. The experiment was planned using the software package \"Design Expert\". The research results were used to develop mathematical function among: lifetime, the level of alternating symmetric stress and Almen intensity. The as-cast, as-rolled and as-annealed Mg-8Li-1Al-0.6Ce alloys are composed of α phase (white), β phase (gray), and AlCe phase. The grains are refined when Mg-8Li-1Al-0.6Ce alloy is rolled. The recrystallization of the as-rolled Mg-8Li-1Al-0.6Ce alloy may take place after the annealing procedure. The results of tensile tests show that the as-annealed Mg-8Li-1Al-0.6Ce alloy possesses peak strength and elongation 233.9 MPa and 24.9 %, respectively.
