This paradigm enables flexible network resource allocations for traffic engineering, which aims to gain better network capacity and improved delay and loss performance. As we know, many heuristic algorithms have been developed to solve the dynamic routing problem. Whereas they lead to a high computational time cost, which results in a crucial problem whether such a heuristic approach to this NP-complete problem is of any use in practice. This paper proposes a framework with supervised machine learning based meta-layer to solve the dynamic routing problem in real time. We construct multiple machine learning modules in meta-layer, whose training set is consist of heuristic algorithm's input and its corresponding output. We show that after training process, the meta-layer will give heuristic-like results directly and independently, substituting for the time-consuming heuristic algorithm. We demonstrate, by analysis and simulation, our framework effectively enhance the network performance. Finally, the meta-layer architecture is quite universal and can be extended in numerous ways to accommodate a variety of traffic engineering scenarios in the network.","PeriodicalId":181478,"journal":{"name":"2014 4th IEEE International Conference on Network Infrastructure and Digital Content","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133195723","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In underlay mode, secondary network shares the same spectrum occupied by primary network, which inevitably generates interference for primary network. With the assumption that there is one transmit antenna and two receive antennas in primary network, both distributed interference subtraction (DIS) scheme and our proposed Dempster-Shafer theory based signal combining (DSC) scheme are considered to mitigate interference at primary receiver. Simulations are performed for BER performance comparisons between these two schemes. The results show that compared with DIS, DSC achieves more performance gains and is more robust against interference.","PeriodicalId":181478,"journal":{"name":"2014 4th IEEE International Conference on Network Infrastructure and Digital Content","volume":"180 2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115445096","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Most of depth denoising method uses a filter with fixed parameter or sets parameter considering one factor: amplitude or distance. However, the depth noise is dependent on both amplitude and distance value. Thus, the characteristic of depth noise should consider two factors simultaneously: distance and amplitude. In proposed method, the parameter of adaptive bilateral filter is set to value from our noise model using distance and amplitude information of pixel. In experiments, the proposed method decreases depth noise more effectively while preserving details than normal bilateral filter with fixed parameters.","PeriodicalId":181478,"journal":{"name":"2014 4th IEEE International Conference on Network Infrastructure and Digital Content","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126169062","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are various charging scenario which can be differ from the vehicle models when we charging the EV (Electric vehicle). Those kinds of charging scenario can result in charging time delay and inefficiency because we have to set again the charging scenario every charging time. In this paper we propose the vehicle charging information profile (VCIP). By applying the VCIP, we can receive our own charging scenario which can be different from car manufacturers or car models when we charge the EV. And because we don't have to follow all charging service procedure given by SECC, we can avoid meaningless charging procedure and save overall time. Previously, charging service was only set by service provider. But, VCIP can make the user-oriented charging services by controlling the charging procedure. In addition, VCIP service using cloud environment can access VCIP without being tied to time and place.","PeriodicalId":181478,"journal":{"name":"2014 4th IEEE International Conference on Network Infrastructure and Digital Content","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116099162","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Coding based 1+1 protection route design for all possible source destination pair by utilizing TS and 2SD scenarios, individually, were addressed in previous works. In those works about 15% (for 2SD) and 20% (for TS) resource saving were reported. In theory, maximum possible resource saving for 2SD scenarios is about 25% and that of for TS scenarios is about 50%. This paper proposes a hybrid scheme for coding based 1+1 protection route design for all possible source destination pairs, where the TS and 2SD scenarios are used intelligently according to the largest effective gain first policy. We evaluate our proposed scheme in several fixed network topologies. Numerical results observe that our scheme with both scenarios achieves about 26% resource saving, it is 7% higher than the worst cases when TS and 2SD scenarios are individually used in route design.","PeriodicalId":181478,"journal":{"name":"2014 4th IEEE International Conference on Network Infrastructure and Digital Content","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129745455","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Online video service has become the most fast-growing Internet service in recent years. Building models for QoE evaluation of video services has become a hot research topic. In this paper, we propose three metrics to evaluate buffering situations of HTTP video streaming, which have been verified to be the main factors that influence the QoE of network videos, and together with three fundamental quality of service (QoS) parameters, to build a three-layer QoE model for HTTP video streaming. Then, we use linear regression and BPNN (back propagation neural network) to reflect the mapping relations of the QoS parameters, buffering-related metrics and QoE, and demonstrate that BPNN performs better than linear regression in this situation.","PeriodicalId":181478,"journal":{"name":"2014 4th IEEE International Conference on Network Infrastructure and Digital Content","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124695935","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The new routing strategy for network systems not only takes the information of the queue length of nodes into account, but also considers node's delivering capacity. Under the new routing strategy, the system can reach a very high network capacity, which is four times more than that of the efficient routing strategy. The time delay of updating node queue lengths is also investigated to verify the robustness of the strategy. And it is found that with the increment of time delay, the system capacity remains constant, but the travel time for packets slightly increases.","PeriodicalId":181478,"journal":{"name":"2014 4th IEEE International Conference on Network Infrastructure and Digital Content","volume":"112 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128102975","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper proposes a generative probabilistic model to infer links using the observation data. Comparing to existing methods, we take consideration of differences of links. And we are also in view of recurrent events and influence from outside of the cascade. Our hawkes process based diffusion model (HPBDM) is testified to precede the prior models in the aspect of inferring links on synthetic data and real data. We also modify the HPBDM by adding time threshold and build up modified hawkes process based diffusion model (MHPBDM). Conducting experiment on real data with MHPBDM, we discover that it is more suitable for some kinds of information whose time interval for information cascade is long.","PeriodicalId":181478,"journal":{"name":"2014 4th IEEE International Conference on Network Infrastructure and Digital Content","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128157773","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Energy detection method is the most commonly used method for spectrum sensing in cognitive radios because of its simplicity and good performance. However, the performance of energy detector deteriorates rapidly if the noise power is fluctuating. In order to cope with noise uncertainty, this paper proposes a robust energy detection method based on Huber's mixture model. The proposed robust energy detector performs amplitude-limiting operation before energy detection and in fact is an improved energy detector. A detailed performance analysis is given on this method and simulation results are presented to show the validity and the superiority of the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":181478,"journal":{"name":"2014 4th IEEE International Conference on Network Infrastructure and Digital Content","volume":"101 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132494918","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method is based on a minimum number of well-established statistical assumptions; no assumptions are made which are inconsistent with others. The strength of the proposed method is that it allows MMSE estimation of mel-frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCC's), cepstral mean-subtracted MFCC's (CMS-MFCC's), velocity, and acceleration coefficients. Furthermore, the method is easily modified to take into account other compressive non-linearities than the logarithmic which is usually used for MFCC computation. The proposed method shows estimation performance which is identical to or better than state-of-the-art methods. It further shows comparable ASR performance, where the advantage of being able to use mel-frequency speech features based on a power non-linearity rather than a logarithmic is demonstrated.","PeriodicalId":181478,"journal":{"name":"2014 4th IEEE International Conference on Network Infrastructure and Digital Content","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130426956","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
