Fickschen Gesetzes untersucht. Es konnte gezeigt werden, daß bis auf einige Sonderfälle die Patersonsche Lösung des 2. Fickschen Gesetzes anzuwenden ist. Hierbei hängt der Umsetzungsgrad zusätzlich noch von einem w-Parameter ab, der das Verhältnis der Phasenvolumina und den Isothermenanstieg beinhaltet. Die Wahl der optimalen Anfangs- und Endbeladungen des Sorbens sowie das Verhältnis der Phasenvolumina wurden diskutiert.SummaryThe applicability conditions of the Boyd solution for the second Fick’s law of diffusion have been investigated for the evaluation of the kinetic sorption data. It could be pointed out, that the Paterson’s solution of the second Fick’s law must be applied with the exception of some special cases. In this expression the fractional attainment of equilibrium depends on a supplementary parameter which contains the ratio of the phase volumes and the isotherm slope. Crystallization takes place, under usual conditions, in a range of elongation where non-gaussian behavior prevails and tends, initially, to reduce the stress below the value expected for the amorphous non-gaussian network. On further stretching a “second”, steeper up turn may be observed which is associated with a substantial reduction of amorphous content and, therefore, with crystallization. This interpretation, which is coherent with most of the experimental observations (particularly the lack of correspondence between the first upturn and the downturn of the energy component, the swelling behavior and the independence of the first upturn upon the mode of obtaining the isotherm and upon temperature) is satisfactorly fitted in the present picture of behavior of the network under stress.
