An Empirical Evidence for the MENA region from 2010 -2019","authors":"زینب نوار, لمیس العربى","doi":"10.21608/jocu.2022.132348.1182","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.21608/jocu.2022.132348.1182","url":null,"abstract":": This paper investigates the relationship between Inequality Adjusted Human Development Index (IHDI) and The Foreign Direct Investment inflows (FDI) given a set of controlled variables. Using panel data for nine (9) MENA countries during the period of (2010-2019). The analysis begins with the pre-elementary examination of the variables, using descriptive statistics and correlation matrix, and uses the Generalized method of moments (GMM) . The paper found a significant positive relationship between FDI on IHDI, where a nonlinear relationship between FDI and IHDI was tested.
