The reduction temperature and phase composition of the catalysts were determined using physicochemical methods. The highest activity in the process under consideration was observed for the coprecipitated copper-alumina catalyst, which at 100–130 °С allows obtaining furfuryl alcohol with 100 % selectivity; in addition, 2-methylfuran can be produced in the presence of this catalyst with the yield of 65 % at 200 °С. This zeolite serves as the adsorbent for efficient dehydration of natural and casing-head gases and their cleaning to remove H2S. Kolesnichenko","doi":"10.18412/1816-0387-2023-3-24-31","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.18412/1816-0387-2023-3-24-31","url":null,"abstract":"In a slurry reactor, the formation of compaction products on Mg/HZSM-5 catalysts, irrespective of the SiO2 /Al2O3 molar ratio in the zeolite, proceeds predominantly on strong acidic sites. The composition of compaction products (mostly trimethyl- and tetramethylbenzenes) virtually does not change with a growth of the molar ratio; however, their amount decreases, which is related to a growth of the mesopore volume with an increase in the SiO2 /Al2O3 ratio. This leads to a decrease in diffusion limitations and contribution of secondary reactions and enhances the removal of coke precursors from the zeolite surface, thus promoting the catalyst activity (the conversion of DME increases twofold). The composition of reaction products changes only slightly with a growth of the SiO2 /Al2O3 molar ratio, the total selectivity to lower olefins is ca. 70 wt.%. Particular attention is paid to the key conditions determining the yield of reaction products with the use of catalysts for the production of bio-oil as well as to the approaches to bio-oil treatment. It is shown that the use of bifunctional acid-base catalysts is most appropriate for transesterification processes. Ammonia is considered as the most promising medium for hydrogen storage due to its high density with respect to hydrogen as well as convenient storage and transportation. The paper demonstrates the possibility of using industrial domestic catalysts NIAP-03-01, NIAP-07-01, NIAP-06-06 and the developed by our team Со-Al2O3 /SiO2 in the reaction of ammonia dissociation. The conversion and the hydrogen production rate increase in the series NIAP-06-06 – NIAP-03-01 – NIAP-07-01 – Со-Al2O3 /SiO2. At 550 °С and OSG 3000 h–1 the conversion of ammonia on Со-Al2O3 /SiO2 is close to 100 %. The reaction was investigated at 25 and 50°C, at acetone/glycerol molar ratio of 2.5. In the presence of zeolites, solketal is the main product with a selectivity of 88.1–94.7 %. Catalytic pyrolysis of plastic materials is a promising method for treatment of secondary raw materials because it allows converting polymers into chemical compounds, which further serve as a source for chemical industry. Physicochemical parameters of the catalysts were estimated using various methods: IR Fourier spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis, physical adsorption of N2, thermogravimetric analysis, and pyrolytic gas chromatography. Temperature dependences of PE destruction were obtained as well as the dependence of chemical composition of the catalytic pyrolysis products on the catalyst type. Two main factors were shown to determine the efficiency of cracking and the qualitative composition of products – structural and acidic parameters of the catalyst. The presence of Broensted acid sites in zeolites promoted the cracking and aromatization reactions. The effect of the solvent nature, main agent, temperature and concentration of 1 on the yield of 2 was studied. Optimal conditions of the process were found: a 5 % Pd/Sibunit catalyst constituting 10 % of the substrate weight, a temperature of 80 °С, a pressure of 0.7 MPa, dimethyl formamide with the addition of triethylamine as the main agent in the amount of 2.2 equiv per 1 equiv of the initial substance 1, and the yield of 2 constituting up to 97.5 %. It was shown that the catalyst could be reused with the preservation of the high yield of 2.
