Students will be able to put their knowledge on disaster management and humanitarian response into practice. In groups, they will conduct risk assessment and coordinate response efforts. The scenario will be foreseeably designed on the basis of the experiences and lessons learned from the 2021 Floods in the region . This session will reflect on the complexity of emergency responses using a two-tier approach: it will focus on the practical implementation of such responses and the associat-ed logistics as well as dive deeper into response coordination between the different levels and countries. This reflection will form the baseline for a further look into the future on what is needed to further improve resilience and emergency responses.
