In this paper, we present a SIW slot array antenna, which is fed by a corporate type of microstrip power divider. The slot array and the feeding network can be fabricated on a single substrate. As a result, not only the size, weight and cost of the waveguide slot array antennas are reduced, but also the manufacturing repeatability and reliability are enhanced. Meanwhile the gain and efficiency of those antennas have only a little depression because of the dielectric loss.","PeriodicalId":177282,"journal":{"name":"2007 National Radio Science Conference","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-03-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122890665","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The contrast measure is defined as the ratio of high spatial-frequency content and low spatial-frequency content in the subbands of the discrete wavelet transform matrix. The obtained enhanced images from the proposed technique have better visual quality when compared with previous discrete cosine transform- based enhancement technique.","PeriodicalId":177282,"journal":{"name":"2007 National Radio Science Conference","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-03-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123510415","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Multiple receive antenna structure is employed at the receiver side to provide spatial diversity in addition to the frequency diversity offered by the MC system. A closed form one-fold integration, which could be solved numerically without the need for simulations, is derived for BER performance of the system. Furthermore, numerical analysis is conducted for different MC systems over different Nakagami-m channels. In addition, tradeoff analysis is provided among different types of diversities: space, frequency and path diversities.","PeriodicalId":177282,"journal":{"name":"2007 National Radio Science Conference","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-03-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126326697","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This method is used for the evaluation of B_spline coefficients fitting a given data. Next, it is shown that using a decimated version of the signal or image under consideration, the number of these coefficients can be appreciably reduced and their values can be optimally chosen without any appreciable degradation of the reconstructed signal/image using these reduced number of coefficients. Applications to image zooming and compression are also suggested. Image compression is based on compressing these B_spline coefficients rather than the image itself. Illustrative examples are given, to verify the high quality of the reconstructed images when compared to other compression techniques.","PeriodicalId":177282,"journal":{"name":"2007 National Radio Science Conference","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-03-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126108055","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Artificial reverberators, such as comb filters, are used to simulate the acoustic impulse response of rooms, but comb filters produce audible colorations and flutter. In this article, several configurations for reverberation filters are presented, the zero-crossing criterion is calculated for the impulse response of each and the results are discussed.","PeriodicalId":177282,"journal":{"name":"2007 National Radio Science Conference","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-03-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126196622","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This cipher is based on FBG (fuzzy bit generator) PN bit generator. The FBG cipher has been designed to produce keystream with guaranteed randomness properties; i.e. passing all the 16 tests of the NIST statistical test suite. Also, it gave very good results when tested using the ENT randomness test program. In addition, it has good correlation properties. The FBG stream cipher is on the form of a non-linear feedback shift register.","PeriodicalId":177282,"journal":{"name":"2007 National Radio Science Conference","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-03-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121781206","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is based on the performance of M/M/C/co/N queueing system with FCFS queue discipline. This model is adapted to guarantee GPRS/EGPRS system constraint and Internet traffic (ON/OFF traffic) over a single cell. The interaction of voice calls with GPRS/EGPRS connections is studied. Different performance parameters are calculated which are blocking and delay probability, average throughput, average number of waiting users and queueing time. These performance parameters are obtained under different coding schemes (C-Sc) and three main radio resource strategies which are Complete Partitioning (CP), Partial Sharing (PS), and Complete Sharing (CS). The obtained results show that the (CP) strategy is better than the (PS) and (CS) strategies.","PeriodicalId":177282,"journal":{"name":"2007 National Radio Science Conference","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126051545","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
