This plastic waste is one of the biggest polluters in the sea which can be a serious threat to marine ecosystems. One of the right treatments is the plastic bag diet. This certainly raises various perceptions among the community as an effort to save the environment. This study aims to determine the perceptions of UIN Walisongo Semarang students on the plastic diet program as an effort to save marine ecosystems. This study used a qualitative descriptive research method, with a data collection instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Based on the research that has been done, the 193 samples obtained indicate that the perception of UIN Walisongo students towards the plastic diet as an effort to save marine ecosystems is very positive and supports this movement. Excessive imports and lack of catch data are feared to reduce fish stocks. To complete the fish catch data required knowledge of body type and size. This study aims to identify and confirm commercial sardines species landed at Muara Angke Market, Jakarta using morphological, morphometric, and DNA barcoding methods targeting the Mitochondrial Cytochrome c oxidase-I (COI) gene. The results of morphological and morphometric analysis showed that the samples are the genus Dussumieria originating from the Dussumieriidae family, the Order Clupeidae, having silver-colored body characteristics with reflections resembling rainbows, slender bodies and rounded stomachs with a maximum length of up to 14.4 cm, then less abdominal fins advance from the midsection. Based on the relationship of body weight length, this fish is negative allometric. Molecular DNA barcoding analysis using COI, obtained by type of Dussumieria elopsoides fish with local name of rainbow sardines, similarity level with Query Cover percentage was 94% and Per percentage. Ident of 91.64%. DNA barcoding analysis has corroborated morphological and morphometric observations by obtaining fish samples identified as Dussumieria elopsoides. Keywords: Morphology, Morphometrics, DNA Barcoding, Dussumiera elopsoides. A BSTRAK Ikan sardin merupakan komoditas penting dalam kegiatan impor. Impor berlebih serta kurangnya data penangkapan dikhawatirkan dapat menurunkan stok ikan. Untuk melengkapi data tangkapan ikan diperlukan pengetahuan mengenai jenis dan ukuran tubuhnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan memastikan jenis ikan sardin komersial yang didaratkan di Pasar Muara Angke, Jakarta dengan menggunakan studi morfologi, morfometrik, dan metode DNA barcoding dengan target gen Mitokondrial Cytochrome c oxidase-I (COI) . Hasil analisa morfologi dan morfometrik menunjukkan bahwa sampel merupakan genus Dussumieria berasal dari famili Dussumieriidae, Ordo Clupeidae , memiliki kar akteristik tubuh yang berwarna silver dengan pantulan menyerupai pelangi, tubuh ramping dan perut membulat dengan panjang maksimal dapat mencapai 14 ,4 cm, kemudian sirip bagian perut kurang maju dari bagian tengah tubuhnya. Berdasarkan hubungan panjang berat badan, ikan ini bersifat alometrik negatif. A nalisis DNA barcoding secara molekuler menggunakan COI, didapatkan ikan ber jenis Dussumieria elopsoides dengan nama lokal ikan sardin pelangi, tingkat kemiripan dengan presentase Query Cover sebesar 94% dan presentase Per. Ident sebesar 91,64%. Analisis DNA Barcoding telah menguatkan pengamatan morfologi dan morfometrik dengan didapatkan sampel ikan yang teridentifikasi berjenis Dussumieria elopsoides. This research was conducted on April 29-may 08 at the University of Mataram Aquaculture Laboratory. This study used a completely randomized design consisting of 5 treatments and repeated 3 times. The treatment A: Nannochloropsis sp. (control), treatment B : 1g/l tofu dregs, treatment C: 2 g/l tofu dregs, treatment D: 3 g/l tofu dregs and treatment E: 4 g/l tofu dregs. Research data (population density, relative growth rate, specific growth rate and time doubling). Analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) at the level of 5%. Based on the result of various analysis of the administration of tofu dregs with different doses, it has a significant effect on population density, relative growth rate, specific growth rate and time doubling of Brachionus plicatilis. Where the density of Brachionus plicatilis population obtained at a dose 0f 2g/l tofu dregs waste that is 54,2 ind/ml, the relative growth rate is 443%, the specific growth rate is 0,1 %/ hours and the self doubling time is 69,55 hours. Key word: tofu dregs, population growth, Brachionus plicatilis ABSTRAK Penelitian  ini  bertujuan  untuk  mengetahui  dosis  ampas  tahu  yang  terbaik    dalam  kultur  Brachionus plicatilis. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada 29 April- 08 Mei 2019   di Laboratorium   Budidaya Perairan Universitas Mataram. Penelitian ini menggunakan  Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan diulang sebanyak 3 kali, sehingga diperoleh 15 unit   percobaan yaitu  perlakuan  A : Nannochlropsis sp (kontrol), perlakuan B :1 g/l ampas tahu,  perlakuan C : 2 g/l ampas tahu, perlakuan D : 3 g/l, ampas tahu dan perlakuan  E : 4 g/l ampas tahu. Data hasil penelitian (kepadatan populasi, laju pertumbuhan relatif, laju pertumbuhan spesifik dan lama waktu penggandaan diri) dianalisis menggunakan analisis sidik ragam (ANOVA) pada taraf nyata 5%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis sidik ragam pemberian ampas tahu dengan dosis yang berbeda memberi pengaruh yang nyata terhadap kepadatan populasi, laju pertumbuhan relatif, laju pertumbuhan spesifik dan lama waktu penggandaan diri Brachionus plicatilis, dimana kepadatan populasi tertinggi diperoleh pada dosis ragi 2 g/l ampas tahu yaitu sebesar 54,3 ind/ml. Laju pertumbuhan relatif tertinggi terdapat perlakuan C yaitu sebesar 443%, laju pertumbuhan spesifik sebesar 0,1 %/jam dan lama waktu penggandaan diri tersingkat terdapat pada perlakuan C sebesar 69,55 jam. Ulva sp. is one of the feed choices given when abalone enters the juvenile phase. This research was conducted on July 22-September 16 2019 at the Aquaculture Fisheries Center, Sekotong, West Lombok. The method used in this study is an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications namely A (control), B (20 ppm), C (40 ppm), D (60 ppm). Results of analysis of variance (ANOVA) at 5% significance level showed (F hit> F tab 5%), which means the difference in the concentration of urea in Ulva sp. provide a real influence on the growth of absolute body weight and the specific growth rate of daily body weight abalone juvenile. Keywords: Ulva sp., Haliotis squamata, growth, nitrogen. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kandungan konsentrasi urea yang berbeda sebagai sumber nitrogen pada Ulva sp.  terhadap pertumbuhan mutlak dan laju pertumbuhan spesifik harian yuwana abalon (Haliotis squamata) sebagai dua parameter utama dalam percobaan. Ulva sp. merupakan salah satu pilihan pakan yang diberikan saat abalon memasuki fase yuwana. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 22 Juli-16 September 2019 bertempat di Balai Perikanan Budidaya Laut, Sekotong, Lombok Barat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan yaitu A (kontrol), B (20 ppm), C (40 ppm), D (60 ppm). Hasil analisis sidik ragam (ANOVA) pada taraf nyata 5% menunjukkan (F hit > F tab 5% ) yang artinya perbedaan kandungan konsentrasi urea pada Ulva sp. memberikan pengaruh nyata bagi pertumbuhan mutlak bobot tubuh dan laju pertumbuhan spesifik harian bobot tubuh yuwana abalon. Pterocaesio chrysozona is a species of reef fish from the family Caesionidae that live in groups around coral reefs between 0-25 meters deep. Morphogenetic, morphological and DNA barcoding based measurements have advantages in identifying species that have been proven successful in identifying reef fish species. Morphometric and morphological analysis results showed that the overall specimens identified were Pterocasio chrysozona fish. It is directly proportional to the DNA Barcoding analysis which is read at the level of Pterocasio chrysozona fish species with a percentage of 93% Query Cover and Per. Ident 96.54%. Keywords: Reef fish, Pterocaesio chrysozona, morphometrics, morphology, DNA barcoding . ABSTRAK Ikan karang adalah salah satu biota yang hidup pada ekosistem terumbu karang dan hidupnya sangat bergantung pada kondisi terumbu karang. Pterocaesio chrysozona merupakan spesies ikan karang dari Famili Caesionidae yang hidup bergerombol di sekitar terumbu karang kedalaman antara 0-25 meter. Pengukuran yang berbasis morfogenetik, morfologi dan DNA Barcoding memiliki kelebihan dalam melakukan identifikasi spesies yang terbukti berhasil dalam melakukan identifikasi spesies ikan karang. Hasil analisis morfometrik dan morfologi menunjukkan secara keseluruhan spesimen yang teridentifikasi adalah ikan Pterocasio chrysozona. Berbanding lurus dengan analisis DNA Barcoding yang terbaca pada tingkat spesies ikan Pterocasio chrysozona dengan persentase Query Cover 93% dan Per. Ident 96,54%. The high human activity, directly and indirectly will affect marine organisms in the region, one of them is macroalgae. The purpose of this study is to find out information on diversity and distribution patterns of macroalgae in the Drini and Krakal Coast waters. Data was collected on 15 -17 September 2019. The method used in sampling is the quadratic transect method using a 1x1 m grid plot. At each location 25 plots were taken and then the data were analyzed in the form of important value index, diversity index, similarity index, dominance index and distribution patterns. Morphological description was also carried out for the characterization and manufacture of herbarium for sample identification. For identification, the method used was to compare samples with photographs, sketches, herbarium and descriptions from identification books. Macroalgae found in both locations consisted of 29 species, 23 genera, 21 families, 14 orders and 3 classes. The highest diversity is found in Rhodophyta phyla with 17 species and phylum with the lowest diversity is Heterokontophyta with four species. Drini Beach has a diversity index value and a higher similarity index compared to Krakal Beach. While the dominance index is higher in Krakal Beach. The species with the highest importance index in both locations is Ulva lactuca. On Drini Beach there are 14 species with random distribution patterns and 7 species with cluster distribution patterns while on Krakal Beach there are 16 species with random distribution patterns and 3 species with clumped distribution patterns. Keywords: Distribution Pattern, Diversity, Gunungkidul, Marine Macroalga ABSTRAK Pantai Drini dan Krakal merupakan dua pantai diwilayah Gunungkidul yang ramai pengunjung. Tingginya aktifitas manusia, secara langsung manupun tidak langsung akan mempengaruhi organisme laut yang ada di wilayah tersebut, salah satunya makroalga. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui informasi keanekaragaman dan pola distribusi makroalga yang berada di wilayah perairan pantai Drini dan Pantai Krakal. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada 15-17 September 2019. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengambilan sampel yaitu metode transek kuadrat dengan menggunakan grid plot 1x1 m. Pada setiap lokasi diambil 25 plot kemudian dianalisis datanya berupa indeks nilai penting, indeks keanekaragaman, indeks kesamaan, indeks dominansi dan pola distribusi. Selain itu juga dilakukan deskripsi morfologi untuk karakterisasi dan pembuatan herbarium untuk identifikasi sampel.Untuk identifikasi, metode yang digunakan adalah dengan membandingkan sampel dengan foto, sketsa, herbarium dan deskripsi dari buku identifikasi. Makroalga yang ditemukan di kedua lokasi terdiri dari 29 spesies, 23 genus, 21 famili, 14 ordo serta 3 kelas. This study aims to determine the content of heavy metal Pb in water, sediment and Bamboo Scallops meat (Solen sp.). This research was conducted in March - May 2019 on the beaches of Kwanyar Bangkalan and Talang Siring Pamekasan, Madura. The content of heavy metal Pb in water, sediment and Bamboo Scallops (Solen sp.) Samples was analyzed using the Atomic Absorption Spectro-photometer (AAS) method. In the aquatic environment, water quality measurements are carried out including salinity, temperature, pH and current. The results showed that the concentration of heavy metal Pb in the water at Kwanyar Beach was not measured, and at Talang Siring Beach was 0.13 ml / l in March, 0.10 mg / l in April and not measured in May. The Pb content in sediment at Kwanyar Beach in March was 51.04 mg / kg, April 6.11 mg / kg and 9.78 mg / kg in May, and at Talang Siring Beach in March was 72.05 mg / kg, April 3.73 mg / kg and May 2.50 mg / kg. Pb content in Bamboo Scallops meat was not measured at both beaches during the observation. The results showed that the heavy metal Pb in Bamboo Scallops meat was still below the quality standard and safe for consumption. Key words: Heavy metal Pb, Lorjuk, Solen sp. Madura Beach ABSTRAK Akumulasi logam berat Timbal (Pb) ke dalam tubuh kerang dapat melalui jaringan makanan atau kontak dengan lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan logam berat Pb pada air, sedimen dan daging  kerang bambu (Solen sp.).   Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Maret – Mei 2019 di pantai Kwanyar Bangkalan dan Talang Siring Pamekasan, Madura.   Kandungan logam berat Pb pada sampel air, sedimen dan kerang bambu (Solen sp.) dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode Atomic Absorption Spectro-photometer (AAS).  Pada lingkungan perairan dilakukan pengukuran kualitas air meliputi salinitas, suhu, pH dan arus.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi logam berat Pb pada air di Pantai Kwanyar tidak terukur, dan di Pantai Talang Siring sebesar 0,13 ml/l pada bulan Maret, 0,10 mg/l pada bulan April dan tidak terukur pada bulan Mei.  Kadar  Pb pada sedimen di Pantai Kwanyar  bulan Maret sebesar 51,04 mg/kg, April 6,11 mg/kg dan Mei 9,78 mg/kg, dan di Pantai Talang Siring  pada bulan Maret sebesar 72,05 mg/kg, April  3,73 mg/kg dan Mei 2,50 mg/kg.  Kadar Pb di daging kerang bambu tidak terukur di kedua pantai selama pengamatan.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan logam berat Pb pada daging kerang bambu masih dibawah batas baku mutu dan aman dikonsumsi. Methods used namely exploratory methods and the resulting data is analyzed in the descriptive. In molecular identification methods using 16S rRNA Gene which is a universal primer for bacterium. Bacterial sequences obtained from GenBank data analyzed by NCBI sites.The results of this research show that eleven isolates of bacteria that the pore water of sediment derived from the highest reduction of lead metal Pb(CH3COO)2 concentration of 1.5 mgL-1 be 0.364 mgL-1 with a value of efficiency reached 75.7%. Four isolates bacterial with the highest density values were identical to the Albirhodobacter marinus strain N9 (ACC. No. NR 126203.1) with identity value 98% and kinship value 100%, Pseudoalteromonas tetraodonis strain NBRC 103034 (ACC. No. NR 114187.1) with identity value 81% and kinship value 84%, Pseudoalteromonas lipolytica strains LMEB 39 (ACC. No. NR 116629.1) with identity value 98% and kinship value 96%. Keywords: Bacteria, Bioremediation, 16S rRNA gene, Lead Metal ABSTRAK Riset ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan jenis dan kemampuan bakteri dalam mereduksi konsentrasi logam timbal Pb(CH3COO)2 dari sedimen Pantai Karangsong, Indramayu. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode eksploratif dan data yang dihasilkan dianalisis secara deskriptif.  Metode identifikasi secara molekular menggunakan Gen 16S rRNA yang merupakan primer universal untuk bakteri. Sekuens bakteri yang didapatkan dianalisis dengan data GenBank dari situs NCBI. Hasil riset ini menunjukkan bahwa sebelas isolat bakteri yang berasal dari air pori sedimen paling tinggi mereduksi logam timbal Pb(CH3COO)2 dari konsentrasi 1,5 mgL-1 menjadi 0,364 mgL-1 dengan nilai efisiensi mencapai 75,7%. Empat isolat bakteri dengan nilai kepadatan tertinggi identik dengan Albirhodobacter marinus strain N9 (Acc. No. NR 126203.1) dengan nilai identity 98% dan nilai kekerabatan 100%, Pseudoalteromonas tetraodonis strain NBRC 103034 (Acc. Therefore, we needs remote sensing system which it can be used for SST measurement. This system be able to estimate SST on an larger region and within a short time. The a ims of the study were to explain and understand the SST estimation using remote sensing system using literature studies . There are several remote sensing satellite system that can be used to estimate SST such as MODIS , NOAA AVHRR , and TRMM ( Microwave ). SST average in Indonesian water based on NOAA AVHRR estimation was 26-31 o C (1993-2003) with >90% accura cy . Highest SST range i n July 2015 was 29.1-29.8 o C (MODIS estimat ion) with corelation coefisien values was 0.72 dan RMSE 0.74 o C . On west Indonesian water (north Papua), SST estimat ion was in the range of 29.10-29.36°C (Aqua MODIS) and 28.88-29.19°C (Terra MODIS) with RMSE values of 0.2461°C (Aqua) and 0.4854°C (Terra). SST estimation on this water using NOAA AVHRR (2010-2012) was about 29.11-29.65 o C with RMSE 0.2228°C . The a ccura cy of microwave sensor estimated SST was about 0.5 o C within a free cloud case. SST range (TRMM/Microwave, 2008) i n Indonesian water wa s about 21-31oC. Using NLSST formula, SST estimat ion produced the highest accuracy with coefficient determination of 0.95 and RMSE 0.24 K. There were different estimated values from using same remote sensing satellite that’s. Generally, SST estimated highest acurra cy by NOAA AVHHR that has lowest error, but can be effected by clouds. Different with Microwave sensor (TRMM) that free clouds coverage but has middle acuration for SST estimation. Diperlukan sistem penginderaan jauh untuk pengukuran SPL secara spasial dan temporal, sistem tersebut mampu menganalisis area dalam skala luas, sulit ditempuh, dan dalam waktu singkat. Tujuan kajian adalah melakukan pendeteksian SPL dengan sistem penginderaan jauh, melalui ulasan kajian yang sudah dilakukan oleh berbagai ilmuan. Beberapa satelit penginderaan jauh yang dapat melakukan pendeteksian SPL yaitu satelit MODIS, NOAA dan TRMM (Microwave). Rata-rata SPL di perairan Indonesia adalah 26-31 o C (estimasi NOAA, 1993 – 2003), akurasi >90 % dan selisih SPL pengukuran lapang dan estimasi sebesar 0.2 o C. Besides, the ecological aspects of coral reefs as a coastal protectors from waves and abrasion. CPCe (Coral Points Count with Excel extension) is used to observe or monitoring reefs ecpsystems. The photo that will be taken using the Underwater Photo Transect (UPT) method from 9 observation stations in Komodo’s Waters will be used as this research database. The photos consists of 50 photos for each station. Photos were taken, assuming can represent the Komodo Waters. Each photo processed in the CPCe, using 30 random points. The results showed the highest hard coral percentage cover at station 2 is 58.36%, while the lowest hard coral percentage cover at station 7 is 5.07%. Hard coral cover in Komodo waters has a percentage of 23.62% categorized in the damaged state. Keywords: coral reef ; CPCe, Komodo Island ABSTRAK Terumbu karang merupakan salah satu ekosistem pesisir yang memiliki peranan penting sebagai tempat mencari makan, tempat tinggal, dan tempat berkembang biak biota lain. Selain itu, aspek ekologis terumbu karang yaitu sebagai pelindung pantai dari terpaan gelombang dan abrasi. CPCe (Coral Point Count with Excel extensions) digunakan untuk mengamati atau memantau terumbu karang. Data yang digunakan adalah hasil foto yang diambil menggunakan metode Underwater Photo Transect (UPT) dari 9 stasiun pengamatan di Perairan Komodo. Foto tersebut terdiri dari 50 foto untuk setiap stasiunnya. Foto yang diambil dengan asumsi dapat mewakili stasiun yang digunakan.  Setiap foto yang diolah dalam CPCe digunakan 30 titik acak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan  tutupan karang keras tertinggi terdapat di stasiun 2 sebesar 58,36%, sedangkan tutupan karang keras terendah pada stasiun 7 dengan nilai sebesar 5,07%. Tutupan karang keras di Perairan Komodo memiliki persentase sebesar  23,62% yang termasuk dalam kategori rusak.
