For the patch array, the feed network has been designed to deal with the couplings. Our numerical validations have proved that the connection between the feed network and the patches array achieves the objective radiation pattern. This method can provide a very low axial ratio of the order of 3 dB over a wide angular aperture [−30°, 30°] in all planes ϕ. For the WPA, the bandwidth of this type of antenna is narrow. The neural network consists on a feed-forward Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) associated with Levenberg-Marquardt learning algorithm. This paper investigates how the implementation on STM8 of the signal processing in hardware affects the performance of the adaptive array antenna. This system shows excellent performance for the radiation pattern and capable to steering by adjusting the relative phases of the signal received or transmitted by each antenna. In this work, we put a special interest on the impact of adaptive modulation on the design of the Radio Frequency (RF) receiver Front-End. Its architecture is based on super-heterodyne receiver supporting Sub-Band Sensing technique. In this study, the IEEE 802.22 radio system characteristics are dispatched throughout the different RF receiver blocks. Besides, theoretical computation and various techniques of the system level design are developed. Simulation results for RF characteristics such as noise figure (NF), linearity (third order intercept point, (IIP3)), gain, and output power are introduced. The obtained specifications for each RF block proved that its linearity and NF requirements are related to its own gain performance. The receiver performs a total gain of 54dB and an IIP3 of −17.8dBm for low gain mode. The efficiency enhancement is achieved by using a digital adaptive phase alignment mechanism that is implemented to address the problem of power-dependent phase imbalance between the carrier and peaking cells of gallium-nitride (GaN) Doherty PAs following the turn-on of the peaking cell. An average efficiency of 57% has been measured using a one-carrier Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) signal with a peak-to-average power ratio of 7 dB. A circuit simulation combined with electro-magnetic simulation is presented and compared with measurement. In this work, we present also an impedance matching method allows adapting our phase shifter without additional circuit. The expression of phase shifting is obtained through the global ABCD matrix of proposed phase shifter circuit and compared with the measurement. The good knowledge of the electric materials parameters is a need. For this reasons, we have developed a broad-band technique for measuring the complex relative permittivity (ε*) of dielectric materials. Our method is based on the use of a measurement bench in free space, using two antenna Vivaldi which are simulated; one used to produce electromagnetic wave and the second is to resave the electromagnetic wave. The materials are placed between the two antennas to be characterized. Many results are obtained with S parameters in transmission, using the vectorial analysis. The DRA is excited by a single 45 inclined slot fed by a microstrip feed line. The inclination of the slot creates a circular polarization of the radiated wave. The gain of the dielectric resonator antenna varies between 4.8 and 7.2 dBi. This study analyze also à parametric study on the effect size of dielectric resonator on bandwidth and coefficient of reflection.
