It has centimeter scale's rotate displacements micro/nanometer scale's rotate positioning precision and three degrees of freedom. It detailed analyzes the discharge of PZT and its influence on the signal waveform generated by hard circuits. Especially, it divides the inherent discharge time of PZT into three small stages to analyze the kinematics and dynamics characteristics of the metal ball on each small stage. Kinematics and dynamics mathematical model of the metal ball on each small stage are set up. An impact force model acts on the metal ball is set up based on the momentum law. A back rotation model of the ball also set up in this paper. We develop a multiple remote interface security system (MRlSS), that integrated with intelligent security robot (ISR), security supervise computer, GSM module, RF interface and appliances control module. The multiple remote interface security system can detect abnormal and dangerous situation and notify us through Internet, or send the message to cellular phone through GSM module. The MRISS can control the appliance control module using wireless RF interface. The user can remote control appliance using cell phone through GSM module, too. The appliance module can feedback reaction result to the user through cell phone. First, we develop the communication protocol in MRISS, and design the multiple interface security robot, security module and appliance control module. Then we implement the MRISS function using the proposed method applying in security detection and appliance control. We can monitor the condition in home or building through Internet, and receive a message of the detection information to cellular phone using wireless RF interface embedded in the ISR. We can also use cell phone to instruct ISR to control appliances. ISR controls appliances via wireless RF module. This paper presents a design of friction-drive rotary stage driven by piezoelectric (PZT) actuator. This stage includes a multiplayer PZT actuator, Scott Russel mechanism, an actuation stage, a pre-load spring and an output shaft. The rotary positioning in this paper is accomplished by the stick-slip effect which a piezoelectric generated force is applied to produce an opposite angular momentums of the rotor to overcome the static friction and to achieve a relative motion. The optimum performance of the stage was achieved by adjusting the pre-load of a spring. Finite element analysis and Taguchi optimization method were extensively conducted to analyze the displacement, stress and vibration behavior for optimum design. Using the wire electro-discharge-machining (EDM), the rotary stage was fabricated and its performance was evaluated. The stage reaches the resolution of 0.13 rad and speed of 0.15 degrees per hour. A stereo vision system is proposed which is capable of reconstructing 3D map based on observed geometrical features without a priori knowledge on the environments. Specifically, detected edge features in binocular images are processed in Hough space for matching correspondence before 3D reconstruction. The generated 3D map can be effectively updated using visual tracking techniques for matched features together with correspondence matching algorithms for newly-observed features. Moreover, based on the reconstructed 3D map, the desired trajectory can be determined. Thus a visual feedback control law can be synthesized for a robot to follow the desired trajectory. Specifically, angular velocity commands are transmitted to a 8051-based driver module to execute low level control of DC motors and video cameras. Due to the fact that visual tracking is employed to assist in maintaining correspondence information and reduce redundant computation, the proposed system can be operated in real time. Laser has Gauss-beam mode with average energy-distribution to get stable long term operation and small HAZ (heating affect zone), so these brushes would have smooth curve of ball wire pins to make nice touch for skin or surface. The proposed system, with a built-in microprocessor, processes the measured data and displays the computed output, including the time, the traveling distance and speed, the accumulated calories burned and the equivalent weight (fat) loss during the cycling, via an LCD panel. The computation methods are detailed. The proposed system would convert a regular bicycle into a unique double-purpose equipment for both traveling and fitness exercise, usable both indoors and outdoors on both sunny and rainy days. In recent years, the development of all-electric injection molding machines progress rapidly. The core technology of the all-electric injection molding machine is using servomotors to drive all the processes such as injection, clamping, plasticating et al.. The injection unit plays a very important role in the injection molding machine. The injection unit controls many parameters such as injection speed, injection pressure, packing pressure et al.. All the parameters will influence the quality of products. The tiebarless structure is used for the clamping unit in our machine. It can provide larger space for large molds in a smaller machine combined with quicker mold changes. Those advantages can save much time. Several multi-user communication protocols such as Bluetooth, IEEE 802.11 etc. have been widely used in personal wireless communication. However, the power consumption reduces the time duration of long-term monitoring and the complex protocol requires a complicated microprocessor to handle the communication packets. In this paper, we developed a slotted-ALOHA communication protocol to allow several physiological signals to be transmitted simultaneously in a single communication channel. The protocol is so simple that it can be implemented in a small-size and low-power microcontroller. Furthermore, a 2.4-GHz RF transceiver (nRF2401, NORDIC) was incorporated into a 16-bit microcontroller (MSP430, Texas Instruments). The slotted-ALOHA communication protocol was implemented in the developed system.
