{"title":"Association of single nucleotide polymorphisms of the adiponectin gene and plasma levels of adiponectin with risk of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease","authors":"Li Li","doi":"10.11569/wcjd.v20.i21.1982","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.11569/wcjd.v20.i21.1982","url":null,"abstract":"Objective To investigate the relationship among the adiponectin gene polymorphisms,plasma levels of adiponectin,and risk of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).Methods 255subjects of NAFLD(case group)were selected from epidemiological investigation in Karamay health check up center in 2011.405normal subjects without NAFLD were selected as control group.The APN45TG,276G T polymorphisms were determined by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP).Results Age,BMI,WHR,SBP,DBP,FBG,AST,TG,CHO,APN,SUA in subjects with SNP45Gand SNP276Gwere higher,HDL was Lower.The prevalence of SNP45Gcarriers are significantly higher than that of TT carriers(41.1%36.9%),no significant difference(P 0.05);SNP276T mutation carriers of NAFLD prevalence rate was lower than the GG carriers(32.8% 43.5%),the difference was statistically significant(P 0.05).The distributions of genotypes and alleles of APN SNP45+in the cases/the controls were as follows:TT 50.4%/55.3%,GT 43.1%/41.5%,GG 6.7%/ 3.2%.The distributions of genotypes and alleles of APN +SNP276+in the case/the controls were as follows:TT 9.8%/12.6%,GT 29.4%/37.8%,GG 60.8%/49.6%.Significant difference in genotypes and alleles of SNP+45between two groups was found(P0.05).NAFLD group of SNP+276mutation genotype frequency was significantly lower than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P 0.05).Logistic regression showed that serum adiponectin levels,APN SNP276Tallele were all independent protective factors for NAFLD,while age,BMI and Waist was all independent risk factor for NAFLD.No correlation between APN45TG gene polymorphisms and the pathogenesis of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(P 0.05).Conclusion The adiponectin gene 276GT polymorphism is significantly associated with the presence of NAFLD and the allele of adiponectin gene 276Tis independent protective factor for the incidence of NAFLD.Not found APN+45polymorphism and the pathogenesis of NAFLD.The adiponectin gene 276G/T,45T/G polymorphism has an effect on expression of serum adiponectin levels and subjects carrying the 276T,45Tallele have higher serum adiponectin levels.","PeriodicalId":17465,"journal":{"name":"新疆医科大学学报","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"64260624","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
