Pemberian antibiotik sintesis bisa menyebabkan timbulnya resistensi antibiotik, dibutuhkan antibiotik baru dari bahan alam untuk mengurangi dampak bahaya bagi ikan, rumput laut, udang dan lingkungan sekitarnya. Salah satu tumbuhan yang dapat berfungsi sebagai antibakteri adalah tanaman belimbing wuluh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh rendemen, mengukur kemampuan antibakteri Vibrio sp. dengan metode difusi cakram dan mengkaji kandungan metabolit sekunder dalam daun belimbing wuluh yang dilakukan maserasi dengan menggunakan pelarut etanol 70%. Tujuh perlakuan konsentrasi ekstrak yaitu ekstrak 100%, 75%, 50%, 25%, 12,5%, 6,25%, 3,125%. Hasil rendemen ekstrak etanol daun belimbing wuluh belimbing wuluh (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) sebesar 5%.  Data hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya aktifitas antibakteri yang sedang dari ekstrak daun belimbing wuluh konsentrasi 100%, dengan zona hambat sebesar 16,95 mm. Aktifitas antibakteri yang lemah berada pada ekstrak konsentrasi 75% dengan zona hambat sebesar 11,75 mm. Konsentrasi ekstrak daun belimbing wuluh di bawah konsentrasi 75% tidak menghambat bakteri. Kajian fitokimia yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini untuk mendukung sifat antibakteri Vibrio sp. Dengan luas wilayah hutan yang mencapai 57,14%, Kalimantan Barat menjadi habitat ideal bagi berbagai jenis anggrek. Anggrek merupakan salah satu tumbuhan hias yang memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi sehingga anggrek sering dieksploitasi secara berlebihan dan menyebabkan beberapa jenis anggrek menjadi terancam atau populasinya menjadi langka. Studi literatur ini menyoroti pentingnya pemahaman mendalam terkait ekologi dan konservasi anggrek di Kalimantan Barat. Melalui analisis literatur yang komprehensif dapat mengidentifikasi keanekaragaman anggrek dan faktor-faktor lingkungan yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan dan keberlangsungan hidup mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi senyawa fitokimia dan kemampuan antibakteri ekstrak etanol cangkang dan duri bulu babi Diadema setosum terhadap isolat bakteri Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, dan Salmonella sp. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan meliputi ekstraksi cangkang dan duri bulu babi Diadema setosum dengan cara maserasi menggunakan etanol 96%, kemudian dilakukan skrining fitokimia dan uji aktivitas antibakteri dengan metode difusi sumur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skrining fitokimia ekstrak cangkang bulu babi (Diadema setosum) mengandung senyawa alkaloid, flavonoid, dan saponin. Senyawa yang ditemukan pada ekstrak duri bulu babi Diadema setosum antara lain alkaloid, flavonoid, dan tanin. Pengujian antibakteri dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode difusi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulanNovember 2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode transek kuadrat (tegak lurus pantai) yang dimodifikasi dari metode Seagrass Watch, dengan menarik transek sepanjang 25m kearah tubir dengan 3 kali ulangan pada 5 lokasi berbeda, dengan menggunakan frame kuadrat ukuran 50cm x 50cm dengan jarak antara kuadrat satu dengan yang lainnya adalah 5 m. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa di Pulau Mantehage pada lima lokasi penelitian ditemukan tujuh spesies lamun yaitu Halodule pinifolia, Cymodocea rotundata, Syringodium isoetifolium, Thalassodendron ciliatum, Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii dan Halophila spinulosa. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL), dimana 525 larva Anopheles sp. dibagi dalam 7 kelompok dengan 3 kali ulangan, larva Anopheles sp. diletakan dalam 21 gelas plastik, dimana masing-masing plastik berisi 25 ekor larva Anopheles sp. Hasil yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) dan dilanjutkan dengan uji duncan pada tarif nyata a = 0.05 menggunakan perangkat lunak SAS dan dilanjutkan dengan uji beda nyata terkecil untuk mengetahui perbedaan perlakuan yang diberikan. This commodity also plays a real role in food security both in the countryside and in urban areas. Nationally, the poultry industry is the main trigger for the development of business in the livestock subsector. In addition, the development of livestock business both small farms / people and livestock industry is caused by public awareness of the nutritional needs of animal origin. Therefore, it is necessary to develop both livestock businesses, both small businesses and livestock industries. The purpose and benefits of this field skill practice are to observe directly the types of feed given to laying hens, and add insight in preparation for the world of work. In addition, comparing the theory obtained with the conditions on the field. The time of Field Skills Practice activities starts from January to February 2021 at the laying hen farming business in Patti Village, Moa Island, Southwest Maluku Regency. Seledri (Apium graveolens L) merupakan salah satu dari jenis terapi herbal sebagai anti hipertensi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian rebusan daun seledri terhadap penurunan tekanan darah pada penderita hipertensi  di wilayah kerja  Puskesmas Kairatu. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan  experiment one group pre-post tes design. Sampel yang diambil dengan  teknik purposive sampling. Terdapat 40 orang responden  hipertensi di wilayah  di Puskesmas Kairatu. Analisa data dilakukan dengan SPSS dengan menggunakan uji t. VCO is often called pure coconut oil. VCO with good quality is by fermentation method using yeast. The quality of VCO can be measured by 3 types of analysis: water content, free fatty acids and peroxide number. The results of this analysis will be compared with the standards of the Asian and Pacific Coconut Community (APCC). VCO from fermentation method will be combined with the absorption method using nutmeg shell activated charcoal to see if there is a much better quality improvement. The results showed that there was a significant increase in quality with a decrease in the average water content from 0,1665% to 0,1005%. In addition, there was a significant decrease in the average free fatty acid content from 0,4681% to 0,3790% and significant decrease in average  peroxide number from 0,1991 meq/kg to 0,0997 meq/kg. Leimena","doi":"10.30598/biofaal.v2i2pp57-63","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.30598/biofaal.v2i2pp57-63","url":null,"abstract":"The use of an external heat source for egg incubation will affect the nesting success of Moluccan scrubfowl (Eulipoa wallacei), thus ultimately determining their reproductive success.  The purpose of this study was to calculate bird nest success and identify egg developmental condition from in-situ incubation.  Field experiment method was used to estimate the effect of in-situ incubation treatment on bird nest success.  A total of 220 egges were planted and 119 eggs were successfully incubated to produce chicks with an average nest success of 0.471 (47.07%).  The average incubation time interval was 90 days (interval 86 – 94 days). Of the total eggs that did not hatch, 73.64% of the eggs did not show the embryonic formation during the incubation period.  Ideal incubation conditions were important to trigger embrionic formation, so that in the end increase the probability of nest success and sustainable population recruitmen. Penelitian ini akan dibuat hand sanitizer dengan kombinasi Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) dengan alkohol. Fungsi kedua bahan ini sebagai antibakteri memungkinkan paduan kedua bahan ini sangat efektif untuk dikombinasikan menjadi produk hand sanitizer.  Metode pengujian yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji organoleptic dan uji zona bening untuk mengetahu kualitas dari hand sanitizer. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh melalui uji organoleptik dan uji zona bening dapat disimpulkan bahwa hand sanitizer yang terbaik berada pada konsentrasi VCO 25% karena sifat lembut di area telapak tangan dan kemampuan zona hambat yang sangat kuat terhadap bakteri yang berasal dari tangan manusia sebesar 20,05 mm.
