Kemampuan representasi matematis merupakan kunci keterampilan komunikasi matematis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menelaah apakah peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa melalui pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) lebih baik daripada yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional, serta untuk mengetahui dan menelaah bagaimana sikap siswa terhadap pembelajaran melalui pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode nonequivalent control group design dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik nonprobability sampling dan teknik penarikan sampelnya menggunakan purposive sampling/ judgmental sampling. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 75 peserta didik SMA Negeri 1 Ciranjang Kelas X MIPA sebagai sampelnya. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah instrumen tes untuk mengukur kemampuan representasi matematis siswa menggunakan soal uraian dan instrumen non tes berupa skala sikap menggunakan angket. Berdasarkan uji perbedaan dua rata-rata indeks gain diperoleh kesimpulan peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa melalui pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) lebih baik dari pada yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Mathematics can also be used in the composition and education of music. The relationship between mathematics and music is not universally accepted, with some suggesting a strong connection and others finding minimal support for the idea. Ethnomathematics can help to make mathematics more relevant and meaningful for students, as well as reflecting the cultural diversity of classrooms, by incorporating it into the mathematics curriculum. This study aims to review the literature on the connection between ethnomathematics and music and to suggest ways in which the two fields can be connected in the classroom. (François & Pinxten, 2011; Hall, 2007; Indrawati et al., 2021; Sugianto et al., 2019), and Indrawati et al. (2021) all investigate the relationship between mathematics and various fields, such as traditional Indonesian art, multicultural education, the subfield of etnowiskunde, and Surabaya regional songs. These works emphasize the significance of cultural and aesthetic traditions in mathematics instruction and learning. By embracing such varied viewpoints, students can obtain a deeper grasp of the topic. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan metode pembelajaran yang membantu siswa lebih percaya diri, kreatif, dan lebih memahami pembelajaran matematika. Metode pembelajaran tersebut ialah Personalized System of Instruction (PSI). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa dengan menggunakan metode Personalized System of Instruction (PSI) lebih baik daripada metode konvensional, serta untuk mengetahui sikap siswa terhadap metode Personalized System of Instruction (PSI). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen melalui Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MAN Cianjur dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas X. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Purposive Sample, diperoleh sampel kelas X-MIA 6 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X-MIA 7 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes sebanyak 4 soal essay dan instrumen non tes (angket skala sikap) sebanyak 20 pernyataan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang belajar menggunakan model pembelajaran Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR), untuk mengetahui sikap siswa terhadap pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran (AIR) dan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara sikap siswa terhadap model pembelajaran (AIR) dengan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah desain kelompok kontrol pretes-postes. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Gunungguruh dengan sampel dipilih dua kelas dari lima kelas yang ada menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, kelas eksperimen menggunakan model pembelajaran (AIR)  dan kelas kontrol menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Berdasarkan analisis data hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran (AIR) lebih baik dari pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dengan menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional, peningkatan ada pada kategori tinggi. Sikap siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran (AIR) adalah positif. Untuk meningkatkan kemampuan ini diperlukan penelitian menggunakan pendekatan matematika realistik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa yang menggunakan pendekatan matematika realistik lebih baik daripada siswa yang melakukan pembelajaran biasa, mengetahui sikap siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan pendekatan matematika realistik . Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Populasinya adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII MTs Nurul Islam Cianjur. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik sampling purposive  secara  nonprobability sampling yaitu siswa kelas VIII D sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII F sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes berupa soal uraian dan non tes berupa skala sikap. Analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji perbedaan/kesamaan dua rata-rata, uji mann-whitney, perhitungan indeks gain, dan presentase skala sikap. However, there are challenges in implementing ethnomathematics in Sundanese culture, and more research is needed to understand these difficulties and potential solutions. This literature review aims to examine the current state of research on Sundanese ethnomathematics, including definitions and characteristics of ethnomathematics used in previous studies, as well as methodological challenges and potential applications. The review is based on a systematic search of leading mathematics education journals. This research explores the use of Sundanese ethnomathematics in education and cultural understanding, utilizing a variety of research objectives and methods, including didactic design analysis, instructional design research, and ethnographic field study. The results indicate that incorporating cultural context and traditional practices, such as the use of religious symbols and specialized teaching materials, can improve students' understanding and learning of mathematics. This study aims to determine the improvement in learning outcomes and students’ problem-solving skills through Problem-Based Learning on Sequences and Series Material. This study is class action research carried out in three research cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages: planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Data collection techniques in the study include the test, observation, and interview. The instrument used is the student learning outcomes test. The data were then analyzed using descriptive analytic and qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results show that the average student learning outcome in cycle 1 was 69.38, with a problem-solving skill score of 67.92. In cycle 2, the average learning outcome was 77.08, and the problem-solving skill was 74.17. Furthermore, in cycle 3, the average learning outcome was 83.75, and the problem-solving skill was 81.67. Learning completeness in cycle 1 reached 62.5%, and problem-solving skills reached 58.33%. For cycle 2, the completeness of learning outcomes reached 75%, and problem-solving skills only reached 70.83%. Meanwhile, in cycle 4, the average learning outcome was 87.5%, and the problem-solving skill was 83.33%. It can be concluded there was an improvement in student learning outcomes and problem-solving skills in each cycle. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together, model pembelajaran ini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa karena siswa dituntut memiliki tanggung jawab dan aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa SMP melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together, dan untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas siswa pada saat pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together dan untuk mengetahui sikap siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart yang terdiri dari tiga siklus. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa (1) penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis pada materi himpunan. (2) aktivitas siswa pada saat pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together berlangsung dengan baik. {"title":"UPAYA MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIKA SISWA SMP MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE STUDENT TEAMS ACHIEVEMENT DIVISION (STAD) (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas di SMP Pasundan Cianjur)","authors":"Riscy Rismayanti, Sendi Ramdhani, Aas Aisah","doi":"10.35194/ts.v5i1.2911","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.35194/ts.v5i1.2911","url":null,"abstract":"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan  pemahaman konsep matematika pada pokok bahasan garis dan sudut  siswa kelas VII-E SMP Pasundan Cianjur dengan penerapan  model  pembelajaran  kooperatif  tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) dan untuk mengetahui respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika dengan penerapan model pembelajaran  kooperatif  tipe STAD. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa-siswi kelas VII-E SMP Pasundan Cianjur tahun ajaran 2015-2016 sebanyak 43 siswa. Model pembelajaran STAD terdiri atas lima komponen utama yaitu: Presentasi kelas, tim, kuis, skor peningkatan individual dan penghargaan tim. Tindakan dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus, masing-masing siklus terdiri dari tiga pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran matematika dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD  melalui tahapan (1) presentasi kelas yang dilakukan oleh guru, (2) diskusi kelompok dengan menggunakan LKS, (3) kuis individu, (4) peningkatan nilai individu, dan (5) penghargaan kelompok, dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa. Hal ini terbukti dengan semakin meningkatnya persentase siswa yang paham setiap siklusnya. Untuk jumlah siswa yang tuntas, Daya Serap Klasikal dan nilai rata-rata kelas dari siklus I sampai siklus III mengalami peningkatan. Hasil jurnal siswa yang memberikan komentar positif lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan yang memberikan komentar negatif. Lembar observasi menghasilkan suasana pembelajaran yang meningkat pada setiap siklus, baik pada guru maupun siswa.
