It provides tax and super information as an interactive, online website. This is an initiative that I feel very strongly about. By educating young Australians on how their participation in the tax and super systems benefits their community and themselves, we can empower them to take control of their financial future.","PeriodicalId":173713,"journal":{"name":"Pedagogy eJournal","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-07-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133473427","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Higher education has not only thrived but has also attracted several foreign students to the Indian university system. The low-cost and high quality mantra is the main focus of new India’s education set-up. It is estimated that by 2030, India will be the youngest nation of the world. 140 million people will be the college-going graduates and one in every quarter of this universe will be an Indian student. These predictions and figures are heart-warming. However, they also pose a challenge to the Indian colleges and universities to improve their services and facilities--both in terms of academics and infrastructure. This paper is intended to investigate the importance of service attributes in Indian colleges and students’ evaluation of the services provided to them. This study was conducted wherein a survey method was used to get the response from students of four colleges of the Delhi University. A modified IPA model was used on systematically selected students. The various dimensions of service quality were incorporated in the instrument and students were asked to give their responses. This study not only reveals the pros and cons of the service providers but also highlights the attributes considered as very important by the students. The findings of this study can be applied to improve the service quality of Indian higher education varsities.","PeriodicalId":173713,"journal":{"name":"Pedagogy eJournal","volume":"25 38","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114088052","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is an action research project for reflective practice by student teams on the MBA. The teams act as consultants to local industry and commerce. They employ a range of tools and techniques to promote corporate vision, reflective learning -in-action, and access tacit knowledge. The emergent dynamic is seen as parallel, staged processes of individual and group transformations which mirror each other as teams develop into micro learning organisations. We suggest that much of the current effort to retrieve tacit organisational knowledge is unduly linear. The tendency has been to assume the field of interaction of the team is bounded by that of the interpersonal dyad or is easily captured or represented by textual means alone. Not all individuals succeed in making the transition from passive to actively-embodied team learning.","PeriodicalId":173713,"journal":{"name":"Pedagogy eJournal","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130149245","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
