METHODS 15 patients with MCI and 19 normal individuals were neuropsychologically tested by various instruments including Clinical Memory Scale (CMS), Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale Revised Chinese (WAIS RC), Mini MentalState Examination (MMSE). The neuropsychological difference was analyzed by t test and covariance analysis. RESULTS All the indexes of CMS tests were significantly lower in the MCI patients than in the normal individuals. The MMSE scores and the majority of performance tests of WAIS RC were significantly poorer in patients with MCI than in the controls. CONCLUSION Patients with MCI exhibit a decline in multi cognitive function and have a similar changes in episodic memory, visuospatial skills and psychomoter speed at early stage of Alzheimer disease.","PeriodicalId":17336,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Fourth Military Medical University","volume":"25 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2002-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81397079","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

METHODS Twenty four patients with PGN and twelve non PGN were included in this study. Thirteen healthy person were included as normal control. The concentrations of hEGF in serum.urine and renalbiopsy tissues was detected by using immunofluorescence assay. RESULTS The hEGF concentrations of renal tissues and urine in patients with PGN is much higher than that in patients with non PGN (0.63±0.18 vs 0.59±0.15, 275±51 vs 64±19, P 0.01) and in normal control (0.63±0.18 vs 0.54±0.14, 275±51 vs 54±18, P 0.01), and the concentrations correlated with the extent of glomerular histological changes ( r =0.651, P 0.01). There was correlationship between urinary and renal hEGF level ( r =0.806, P 0.001). CONCLUSION hEGF may play a role in the pathogenesis of PGN, urinary hEGF concentrations in patients with PGN might be a reflection of the renal hEGF level.","PeriodicalId":17336,"journal":{"name":"Journal of the Fourth Military Medical University","volume":"49 1","pages":"585-586"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2000-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73470352","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
