Compares to the EAIEM, the advantage of the SAIEM is evident when the dimensionless frequency is less than 10 or the ratio of the length to the width of the acoustic source is less than 10, even if using the EAIEM reduces the number of finite elements between the acoustic source and the artificial boundary. The advantage of the EAIEM is more and more remarkable as the dimensionless frequency and the ratio of the length to the width of the acoustic source increase. The efficiency and the precision of the EAIEM should be researched further to reach the highest potential of the EAIEM.","PeriodicalId":169377,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of Xth International Seminar/Workshop on Direct and Inverse Problems of Electromagnetic and Acoustic Wave Theory","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126821083","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The waveguide structure consists of radially non-uniform column of isotropic plasma that is surrounded by the dielectric and placed in metallic waveguide. We have shown that both collision frequency and density non-uniformity affect the wave characteristics and consequently, on the parameters of gas discharge sustained by this wave.","PeriodicalId":169377,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of Xth International Seminar/Workshop on Direct and Inverse Problems of Electromagnetic and Acoustic Wave Theory","volume":"74 5","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120897111","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
