As a result, the United Nations and governments have drawn up plans and laws to control greenhouse gas emissions strictly. Many international organizations are also investing in greenhouse gas reduction programs, and many countries will have to consider greenhouse gas emissions data if they want to receive subsidies from the United Nations or investments from financial unions in the future. This study intends to analyze the economic and greenhouse gas emission reduction efficiency of OECD member states through the two-stage data envelopment analysis method. The results show that only four countries have a total efficiency score of more than 0.5, Estonia, Iceland, Latvia, and Luxembourg. Among the four countries, only Estonia and Latvia have national economic efficiency and greenhouse gas emission reduction efficiency above average. In contrast, Iceland and Luxembourg have national economic efficiency far above greenhouse gas emission reduction efficiency. Conversely, Latvia is the most efficient of the four countries in reducing greenhouse gases. The results of this study will provide a reference for the United Nations and international organizations to promote global greenhouse gas emission reduction.","PeriodicalId":168137,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Business and Management Sciences","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114159866","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research aimed at determining the inclusion of Artificial Intelligence such as fault detection, data mining, information inference and pattern recognition on the performance of sensor management system. The research was anchored on Technology Acceptance Model whereby descriptive and exploratory research design was adopted. The study target population was 360 and the sample size of 108 respondents were selected which represented the 30% of the target population. The researcher personally administered the questionnaire to the respondents, drop and pick method was adopted. Data were analysed by the use of descriptive, rational and inferential analysis. It can be revealed that the inclusion of artificial intelligence enables fault detection to be completed quickly, increasing user efficiency. In addition, the management system and procedures are done effectively with the inclusion of artificial intelligence. For effective data analysts to make decisions in real time, data mining is crucial. Since pattern recognition generates more value for a business, it is widely known that the sensor management system's effectiveness partially rely on data inferencing. According to the study, Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company should regularly train their employees on the newest addition of artificial intelligence trends. To increase effectiveness, the sensor management system should be integrated. Create new competitive strategies and increase technology investments in pattern recognition.","PeriodicalId":168137,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Business and Management Sciences","volume":"312 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122811918","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, as businesses multiply, more attention is being paid to generating revenues amidst a growing concern about aspects of environmental degradation exacerbated by business activities. This has heightened the need for promoting sustainable business practices so as to preserve the environment, living standards of people and profit margins of firms. The current study sought to investigate the mediating effect of social innovation on the relationship between collaborative competence and sustainable business practices. The study used a cross sectional design and it was carried out from Uganda. The sample consisted of micro and small enterprises in the sectors of trade and manufacturing. Structural equation modelling was used to test the relationship under investigation. The results showed that social innovation significantly mediates positively the relationship between collaborative competence and sustainable business practice. This implies that when businesses collaborate, socially innovative solutions emerge which are directed towards promoting sustainable business practices","PeriodicalId":168137,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Business and Management Sciences","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132542301","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
