The possibility that AGI can achieve digital omnipresence, omniscience, and omnipotence challenges the traditional doctrine of divine attributes. The anticipation that AGI will soon possess superintelligence endangers the validity of Western logos theologies that adopted the logos, a cardinal Greek concept, as the root-metaphor. Logos in Western thought has become narrowly defined as technical reasoning (intelligence) since the Enlightenment. This logos-centralism brought a theological reduction to perceive God as superintelligence, which could be equated with a superintelligent AGI. The advent of AGI could complete logos theologies with an ultra-intelligent and omnipotent God. In high-tech places such as Silicon Valley, new techno-religious movements already appear that enthrone and worship AI as a divine status. Furthermore, transhumanists fervently advocate a techno-utopian vision that, with the maximum use of science and AGI technology, humans can achieve the paradise foretold in the Gospel without tears, suffering, diseases, and even death. This paper critically analyzes these coming issues of AGI and Transhumanism to propose a macro theological paradigm shift from the theo-logos to theo-dao, adopting dao (Wisdom of transformative praxis) as an alternate root-metaphor in and through interreligious and interdisciplinary trialogue with East Asian religions (Confucianism and Daoism) and sciences/ technologies.","PeriodicalId":166154,"journal":{"name":"The Korean Society of Minjung theology","volume":"1972 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129978903","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to do so, I will begin with reviewing Freud and Kohut’s thoughts on religion. Although their emphasis on the function of religion would be different, it can be said that the religion affects people’s minds both positively and negatively. Religious addiction can be an example of a negative side of religion; religion has a positive function in that it gives hope and comfort to human beings. Having said that, I wonder how religion would function in the psyche of Korean Christian women when facing domestic violence by their husbands; how religion would work for them in order to make some pastoral implication from Korean context and seek some alternative pastoral theological suggestions. Like the double bind functions of religion, religious concerns can become roadblocks or healing resources for those dealing with experiences of domestic violence. If religion has both positive and negative functions for women experiencing violence, the purpose of this article is to enhance the positive functions and prevent the harmful functions by providing some alternatives. As an example, I introduce the theology of the cross. The symbol of the cross can be harmful when it could become a pressure for Christian women to endure their suffering. However, if it could show the way to the resurrection of women by overcoming violence, it could be a theology that saves many Korean Christian women suffering abuse.","PeriodicalId":166154,"journal":{"name":"The Korean Society of Minjung theology","volume":"120 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121148768","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It sets the central theme of his entire life as ‘the search for Jesus in history’ and explains how the theme developed in his thoughts by dividing it into four stages. First, the stage of ‘existence’ centered on the period when the journal of Ya-sung was published in 1951-56. Second, the theological transition taking place during the publication of the journal of Hyun-jon in 1969-80 from the existentialist understanding to minjung theology, Third, the process of establishing full-fledged minjung theology as the ‘theology of event’ with the publication of the journal of Theological Thoughts since 1973. Fourth, a theology of life in the time of the journal of Salim since 1988. Through this process, we can find how he creatively confronted his time and what he suggests to us today.","PeriodicalId":166154,"journal":{"name":"The Korean Society of Minjung theology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129996741","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is judged that their study has a challenging aspect to the already known trauma research, but also has limitations and problems at the same time. \u0000Efforts to understand division in Korea have been developed in various academic fields. Therefore, this study, first of all, focuses on clarifying the differences between division trauma research and past division studies. To that end, this study will review the necessity of research on division trauma, which trauma researchers say, and identify the characteristics of understanding division violence they have, and also examine the characteristics of division trauma. In addition, this study will critically analyze the direction of healing from division trauma, which they prospect. The prospects for integrated narratives that overcome the narratives of division and the prospects for the restoration of national commonality will be the main targets of criticism. Finally, while comparing and crossing the understanding of forgiveness in the Bible and the prospects for healing by division trauma researchers, I will look for a direction in which division trauma research can be further deepened and expanded. Although it does not present a sufficient theological analysis, this study is part of a longer one to find the interface between Korea’s Minjung theology or peace theology and the study of division trauma.","PeriodicalId":166154,"journal":{"name":"The Korean Society of Minjung theology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121222918","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
