A 12-month-old infant, residing in Bangui, was brought in for consultation on September 11, 2020 for ulcerated budding lesions. The history of the disease is said to date back to May 2020 (4 months) with papules that have grown to ulcerate secondarily. The careful interrogation did not find any notion of displacement out of town or of a similar injury in those around him. Physical examination showed ulcerations 3 to 5 cm in diameter, thickened margin, granulomatous background in places, covered with scabs or serum in the limbs; the hypotheses of leishmaniasis, yaws, tuberculosis and sarcoidosis have been mentioned. Histology found kinetoplasts and the parasitological sample showed very many amastigotic forms of leishmanias. Treatment with metronidazole failed and the child was referred for pentamidine. This case of leishmaniasis in an infant who has never left the city of Bangui the capital suggests the possibility of the disease spreading throughout the country.","PeriodicalId":164845,"journal":{"name":"Clinical Dermatology Open Access Journal","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132560258","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The therapy has not yet settled, however, due to reports of associated non-thrombotic pulmonar embolism, in which an overdose of hyaluronic acid was injected into the deep layer of the anterior vaginal wall, an area of high vascular risk, by non-physicians. We have used a simple and safer technique since 2019, whereby only 1ml of hyaluronic acid is injected superficially, in the submucosal plane, through a blunt-tipped cannula, in the posterior wall, with excellent results and fewer complications","PeriodicalId":164845,"journal":{"name":"Clinical Dermatology Open Access Journal","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114829553","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Worldwide, they have a prevalence of 5%, with the female sex being the most affected. The objective was to detect risk factors for eating disorders in university students. We worked under a quantitative research approach, non-experimental design and descriptive scope, where the EAT-26 interview was applied to 146 students from the Technical University of Ambato, while the data was tabulated and whose results were expressed in the form of graphs and tables. The results of the questionnaire identified that the students analyzed did not present any risk factor for eating disorders. In addition, it was identified that 32.9% of students do not diet, 52.6% have never presented physiological or psychological problems and 29% do not present problems in terms of their eating habits. However, it was identified that the students have a slight fear of being overweight but do not control their diet by reducing the percentages of carbohydrates and sugars.","PeriodicalId":164845,"journal":{"name":"Clinical Dermatology Open Access Journal","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125007658","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Distinct factors dominate the prescription of anti-depressants in the geriatric population. Accordingly, the intention of pharmacotherapy in geriatric psycho dermatoses is deciphered in the study. . Objective: To survey and analyze the selection of anti-depressants by the dermatologists in the practice of geriatric pharmacotherapy. Methods: A questionnaire was designed and circulated among ninety-three dermatologists in three sessions and the data collected was analyzed through the cross-sectional study statistics. Results: The typical senior people attending the specialist were 25-50%. A sizeable familiarity of psycho cutaneous disturbance was attributed to dermatophyte infections, lichen simplex chronic, and Prurigo in descending order. The largely established primary disorder was neurotic excoriation. The prescription pattern was classified and 51.9% dermatologists are customary with psychotropic agent Doxepin over other agents. The discipline of the multidisciplinary approach was also studied. Limitation: Small sample size, uniregional study, prevalence study. Conclusions: The survey aids in evaluating mental health in cutaneous dermatoses of the elderly and assists the dermatologists to offer understated economical options and amend existing guidelines.","PeriodicalId":164845,"journal":{"name":"Clinical Dermatology Open Access Journal","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134614801","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
