In the paper, a new approach is presented for speaker recognition using the improved Mel frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCC). The experimental database consists of 30 speakers, 15 male and 15 female, collected in a sound proof room. The result of this experiment certificates that the improved Mel frequency cepstral coefficients derived parameters perform better than traditional Mel frequency cepstral coefficients based on hidden Markov models.","PeriodicalId":163318,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 2013 3rd International Conference on Computer Science and Network Technology","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134503215","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It makes IT infrastructure available as a service through the network. Using Cloud Computing, users can find a new effective solution for building systems and applications according to their demands. How to make the existing services reliably run on the cloud platform, and satisfy the high scalability and availability requirements becomes a hot topic. In this paper, we propose a Cloud Computing Service Platform based on OpenStack which supports service management, auto-scaling, security control and high availability, etc. To achieve the effective management of resources and ensure the quality of service, we implement the resource monitoring subsystem. It can monitor performance metrics CPU Utilization, Memory Usage and Network I/O of physical and virtual resource like. The persistent data can be used by the resource management subsystem and alarm subsystem.","PeriodicalId":163318,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 2013 3rd International Conference on Computer Science and Network Technology","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131583695","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recently, the asymmetric application mode of PCMA, which is efficient and pragmatic in the VSAT network, has been studied with great interest. In our research, the symbol interference cancellation and Forward Error Correction (FEC) coding are introduced to remove the influence on the detection of weak signal instead of reconstructing the big carrier. As shown in the simulation results, the proposed scheme performs well at the low Signal to Noise Ratios (SNR) scenario which is typical in the asymmetric PCMA systems.","PeriodicalId":163318,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 2013 3rd International Conference on Computer Science and Network Technology","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131654421","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The motion vector field of each frame is first grouped into several elements with the aid of superpixel segmentation. Then, two measures are defined to rate the motion uniqueness and motion distribution of each element. The motion saliency of each element is derived as the fusion of the two measures. The final pixel-accurate saliency map is generated from a linear combination of the element motion saliency values. Moreover, the complete saliency computing process can be formulated with the N-D Gaussian filters which are with only linear computing complexity. Experimental results indicate that the proposed method could achieve better performance as compared to the state-of-the-art methods.","PeriodicalId":163318,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 2013 3rd International Conference on Computer Science and Network Technology","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131810521","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the two images is the master image and the other is the slave image. In this paper an effective algorithm is proposed to align the two images; this algorithm is based on combining both area-based methods and feature-based methods. Cross-correlation function is used to detect the coarse offset between the master image and the slave image, while the fine offset between the two images is detected by the Harris corner detector [1] and Scale-Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) which is proposed by Lowe (1999). Random Sample Consensus (RANSAC) algorithm [2] is used to estimate the transformation model. The proposed algorithm is evaluated by using the coherence map. The results show that the proposed algorithm is more effective than using the automatic image registration methods alone [3].","PeriodicalId":163318,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 2013 3rd International Conference on Computer Science and Network Technology","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132811406","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, underwater sound signals are difficult to obtain, the training sets are always in small size and the limited information are embedded in a few feature subspace. In this paper, MFCC features are extracted firstly, and then a feature selection method based on PCA and ReliefF is presented to find the most discriminating feature subset. PCA is used to project the original feature to a new feature space by maximizing the variance matrix. ReliefF method is applied to find the proper feature subset which has the maximum score. Experimental results show that our method performs well and achieves higher recognition accuracy than that of the original features in most cases.","PeriodicalId":163318,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 2013 3rd International Conference on Computer Science and Network Technology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130713067","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For convenience we calculate the temporal intensity distribution of the aperture in the horizontal central axis direction. The temporal intensity distributions are connected with the radius of the circle aperture, the Fresnel number, the width and the central wavelength of the hyperbolic optical pulse. Number calculation shows that when the Fresnel number is definite, the shorter the width of the hyperbolic optical pulse, the more different the shape of the temporal Fresnel diffraction intensity distribution from the original hyperbolic optical pulse. While the width of the hyperbolic optical pulse is definite, the smaller the Fresnel number at central frequency, the less the changes of the temporal Fresnel diffraction intensity distribution.","PeriodicalId":163318,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 2013 3rd International Conference on Computer Science and Network Technology","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131043453","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
