These multiple reflections are controlled by introducing a feed scattering pattern, which is the scattered field from the feed when illuminated by a plane wave. The method is applied to a reflector with a self-supported dipole-feed, showing good agreement with both the measurements and a moment method solution of the complete antenna including the feed as well as the paraboloidal reflector. The results show that the multiple reflections may have stronger effect on the directivity and the cross-polar sidelobe level than the centre blockage has.","PeriodicalId":161582,"journal":{"name":"1988 18th European Microwave Conference","volume":"77 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1988-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115573114","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Then a small-signal approach to obtain the inter-electrode impedance is presented which permits the study of the slow-wave propagation in the structure. The results are compared with those of quasi-static approach. The Green's function used in this work involves the boundary conditions on drain and source electrodes and is obtained by a conformal mapping. Thus the computation time is considerably reduced.","PeriodicalId":161582,"journal":{"name":"1988 18th European Microwave Conference","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1988-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117282558","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

INWATE-circuits are in principle dielectric filled waveguides and adhesion problems may occur due to the different thermal expansion coefficients of the dielectric material and the metal wall layer. It has been shown that thermal cycling from -35 °C to + 70 °C has no influence on transmission properties of Ka-band-resonators. Due to the negative temperature coefficient of polystyrene dielectric filling, the temperature coefficient of resonant frequency is nearly compensated. Furthermore a polarization independent dual-band dual-mode INWATE-filter for satellite converters has been investigated in a temperature range of -35 °C to 70 °C and there is no significant change in filter characteristic.","PeriodicalId":161582,"journal":{"name":"1988 18th European Microwave Conference","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1988-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123365399","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
