This paper proposes voting schemes to utilize the already developed CNN models to further improve gender prediction accuracy. Majority voting usually requires odd numbered models while proposed softmax based voting can utilize any number of models to improve accuracy. With experiments, it is shown that the voting of CNN models leads to further improvement of gender prediction accuracy and that softmax-based voters always show better gender prediction accuracy than majority voters though they consist of the same CNN models.","PeriodicalId":160708,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Green and Human Information Technology (ICGHIT)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117347198","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Multiple targets tracking across camera views is challenging since there might be a significant appearance change of a target across camera views caused by variations in illumination conditions, poses and camera image characteristics. To address this problem, we propose an object re-identification technique to track the targets through multiple non-overlapping views camera by using Bhattacharyya matching method. To handle the variation of lighting condition and photometric settings of cameras, we have utilised the layers in the HSV colour space as the feature to represent the appearance of the object. Few testbeds were setup indoors and outdoors to better evaluate the accuracy of the cross camera human tracking algorithm. Extensive experiments on the proposed algorithms demonstrate the effectiveness and reliability of our approach by able to track the human using only one of the HSV layers.","PeriodicalId":160708,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Green and Human Information Technology (ICGHIT)","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122875305","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
{"title":"Understanding Monetary Policy Communication: A VECM Approach Based on Pakistan","authors":"Aftab Saad Sohail, Maria Sameen, Qazi Ahmed","doi":"10.1109/ICGHIT.2019.00039","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/ICGHIT.2019.00039","url":null,"abstract":"This study investigates the multidimensional aspects of information in State Bank of Pakistan monetary policy; which consists of the policy rate and the monetary policy statements released by the Monetary Policy Committee. The effects of monetary policy communication and its tone on market expectations and the subsequent effects on macroeconomic variables i.e. the Consumer Price Index, output and credit intake is investigated. The Johansen's co-integration test showed existence of one co-integration equation; after which Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) was estimated to establish the long and short run relationships between variables. The language of monetary policy communication Granger causes CPI and credit intake in the short run. It was found that policy rate does not Granger cause any of the variables used. Nonetheless, neither the language of communication nor the policy rate have particularly strong effects on macroeconomic variables.","PeriodicalId":160708,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Green and Human Information Technology (ICGHIT)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127775709","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
