We introduce a precedence graph model to specify and analyze the timing behavior of real-time systems. To be able to test our model's suitability in a realistic situation, we modeled some of the components of Solenoidal Detector Collaboration Data Acquisition System, UNIDAQ (1993). Furthermore, we investigate the effectiveness of the model for timing analysis for multiprocessing and multiprogramming run-time environments.<<ETX>>","PeriodicalId":159980,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings Eighteenth Annual International Computer Software and Applications Conference (COMPSAC 94)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1994-11-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128476744","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this architecture, the applications are separated by building blocks according to their functionality in a distributed processing environment. This architecture provides a layered view of an effective management of the multimedia network resources and services. Also, we propose a model for managing and controlling multimedia terminal resources. Finally, we discuss interoperability in order to facilitate connections between multimedia network elements.<<ETX>>","PeriodicalId":159980,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings Eighteenth Annual International Computer Software and Applications Conference (COMPSAC 94)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1994-11-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129078251","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
